Well, today our little housekeeper will be coming. I have a ton of stuff for her to do and to help me with. There's no way she will get to all of it today. Hubs has a routine doctor's appointment. Nothing else going on.
Update on our Meals on Wheels -- The frozen dinners that we receive aren't like the fresh meals that we get. They are in different containers and contain preservatives and additives. More like what you get in the supermarket frozen food section.
Yesterday we received a "make-it-yourself" Reuben...Turkey slices, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, rye bread and Thousand Island dressing. Also included was a cucumber salad (unfortunately had RAW onions in it; so we had to throw it out -- neither one of us can stomach raw onions -- and pineapple. Our frozen dinner is meat loaf. We will get one fresh meal tomorrow; and that will end our first week.

My hubs loves the corned beef ones; but he enjoyed the turkey just fine. He piled on the sauerkraut and dipped it in the Thousand Island dressing.

That’s sad that Meals on Wheels doesn’t provide quality anymore.

I'm glad you enjoyed the picture. The meals aren't terrible. The fresh ones are better than the frozen ones.

@lovebuglena We have to have the meals for at least 30 days. Right now I'm not impressed with the food. We will have to wait and see.

I don't know. All this food is supposed to come from a catering company. You'd think it would be made fresh just like the other meals.

@LindaOHio That's what I have always found about meal services, is that their food is meh at best. Nothing has really wowed me to this point.

We're going to see how it goes. There are additives and preservatives in the frozen dinners hubs buys at the stores; so it's not much different. So far the meals have been meh. The best thing so far was the turkey Reuben.

I hate that we get frozen now. I quit getting any because they were terrible yet I hated throwing them out. I wonder why they started doing that. what a waste

It would really be easy for them to improve the quality of the meals somewhat. It wouldn't cost them anything extra either...just better cooking.

Can I say that I just love that photo of the dog and the baby there both so happy together.

That's good that she came by today, hope the work went well.
sorry that their frozen meals are like what you get in the frozen food section at the store.
The sandwich sounds good minus the sauerkraut, yucky lol!
