It's so hot I have to get up early to do yard work

Roscoe on June 10th running like the wind at 6am.

Yesterday I was up by 5am thanks to my lil buddy Roscoe. So, I got my camera and went outside as soon as it was light enough. By 6am Roscoe was running circles around me and anything else in his way, he had energy. I got some nice shots of him and hollyhocks then I did some yard work before it got too hot. I did the same more yard work this morning only it was 7am before I got outside. I haven't been outside since about 8:30am and right now it's 104f with 5% humidity and hopefully it will cool down a little more before I go out to check the mail. If it's getting hot where you are I hope the humidity is low. What kinds of kool plans have you made for the weekend?

You are correct but he does care if it is too hot.

Oh yes, more than I'd like sometimes but the heat is slowing him down some. Thanks. I have a feature on my Nikon that I can use for sports events but he was going a lot faster than the shutter on that setting.

Glad you like the photo. Yeah, I hate humidity but maybe it's better to have it because it keeps people from overdoing it outdoors

That is one cool photo. I needed a Roscoe fix. This is the start of hubby's vacation. I will probably mow the back yard tomorrow and sometime super soon need to mow again by the driveway.

@rebelann I'm not getting up the energy needed to hoe out the garden this year. Its sky high in weeds, too. One more walk behind the Weeder session tomorrow will be something done, anyway.

I'm looking for more funny ones. Wish me luck. I just get out and start working on my yard, it's a nice work out for me. Plus, Roscoe and I can play while I work. Thank you. He runs so fast my camera can't focus properly as it should. I think I need to invest in a new camera.

I thought so too. I'm having trouble finding good funny ones I haven't already shared here. I just do yard work, it's a good work out. Thank you.

Ah, it's cool at that time, Roscoe is super energized at that time. Glad you got the yardwork in . . . I am finding that I'm watering earlier these days too - but I'm not doing much on working on it otherwise. I don't look at the humidity but it says 55% - so I guess this isn't considered dry .

@rebelann Today we got to 92 . . . but we hit the beach half the day, so it was cool for us. Don't worry - we masked up and went to a not popular beach . . . we stayed away from everyone and got a private spot all to ourselves. The numbers say humid, but it feels dry .

Yes, it's been around 70f that early in the morning but by 9am it's in the 90s already. To me 55% is very humid.

I believe you. The bad thing about dry heat is that it dries out your sinuses which is irritating and it's also really easy to overdo it outdoors and wind up with heat stroke.

Thank you. YIKES, that's really rough considering you get higher humidity than we do and at 100f that is unbearable, are you going to be ok? Ummm, maybe stand in the shower with cold water running.

Our heatwave is here, it is hot today, but breezy, the humidity is low. I went out at 5 this morning to water the plants and fill the cat bowls with food and water. I will go out again later today, not before 5 PM.

Pretty and I have been getting up at 6 am and taking a walk around town... It's nice out at that time of the morning... not that it's been getting really hot here yet. Yesterday only reached 81F with a nice breeze blowing. I hope you and Roscoe have been enjoying yourselves.

Perhaps your electrolytes were low. Out here we are always careful to not only drink enough water but to also use more salt than people would in humid regions.

@rebelann I'm sorry... I'd walk with you if you were a tiny bit closer to me. I had a little trouble on today's walk. I kept getting dizzy. I checked my bp when we got home but it was fine. No idea what caused that.

You're lucky to have the kind of area that is safe for a woman to walk in, that isn't the case here. We get a lot of illegals and many are criminals so it's just safer not to walk.
