This one didn't just pop into my head. It was featured in a movie; and I can't get it out of my head.
"Gloria" is a great song recorded by Laura Branigan and released in 1982. It was a platinum hit and stayed on the U. S. Billboard Hot 100 for 36 weeks, peaking at #2. It's a great earworm to have and will have you up and dancing!
This "Gloria" is not to be confused with the 1964 hit "Gloria" released by Them and written by Van Morrison -- "G-L-O-R-I-A".
A little tidbit of information. My parents wanted to name me Gloria. I don't care for Linda; but it's better than Gloria!

I really love this song, Yes, you made me think of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and that chorus they play that song always sticks to me whenever I hear it, They played the song "Gloria" dozens of times on the radio when in the 1980s it was Hurricane Gloria time,

This is the song that I thought of when you said "Gloria." Great song! It can get stuck in your head for sure. I wonder what the Van Morrison song is.
