Blue Skies, Coffee and a Good Book

Happy Thursday Everyone!! another beautiful day here today. I was sitting outside, enjoying my coffee when the lawn crew showed up and are here to trim the bushes. Once they got to my house I came inside as it was just too noisy. They really interrupted my peace and quiet but I'm happy to have the bushes trimmed. They were getting in serious need of attention and I was almost ready to go and do it myself.
Now that I'm back inside I mopped and cleaned the bathroom and used the Swiffer duster on the hardwood floors.
Time for me to sit and myLot for awhile and then I'm going to have my second cup of coffee and go back outside with my book.
I'm determined to enjoy some fresh air today especially since it's not too hot. I'll pretend I'm on vacation and the only thing missing will be the sound of the ocean (maybe I could play it through my Alexa? 
)

It is still nice, not supposed to change until the weekend. Wouldn't it be grand if it could stay like this all summer? when I was a kid it was like this all summer..that is why I am desperate to get a summer place up there.

I don't remember it being so hot in the summer when I was growing up. We didn't have a/c and slept with the windows open. Hope you're able to find a nice summer place to enjoy

@Marilynda1225 No, most of the time it was fine in the summer where I grew up. We didn't have AC until I was grown up. I just remember one or two nights it was hot, that was not the norm.

@Marilynda1225 Thank you very much. They really need doing. You know, the guy came to mow our lawn aswell last week, and already the buttercups and daisies are growing again!

I love the sound of the ocean and the waves crashing. Since I no longer live near the ocean I have to play it through my Alexa. It's relaxing and brings back great memories from all the times I was able to vacation at the beach

I'm glad you're having a good day.
It's a wonderful day here too. I rushed from the Y this morning, but it didn't do any good. I was still soaked by the time I got to the car. I'm not complaining. We need this rain so bad. I had a hard time seeing through my windshield going home, it was that heavy. Thunder, lightning, rain. It couldn't be better. We have another round coming this afternoon and evening. In the meantime, I did get my walk on the trail while the sun shone.

We haven't had rain in awhile and although I'm really enjoying this beautiful weather the grass is now turning brown.
At least you were able to sneak in your walk on the trail while the sun was shining but driving in such bad weather is stressful.

@Marilynda1225 Yes, it was stressful. My shoes are still wet, so is the hoodie I wore. We got over an inch of needed rain.

It's that time of year! mowing is an ongoing noise event it seems. At least here they do the whole community at the same time so it's only noisy for one day a week. However yesterday was a surprise when they came around to trim all the bushes in front and back of the houses.

I grew up loving the ocean and we'd spend many vacations at the shore. Reading was always a favorite pasttime so when I sit outside here with no ocean nearby I like the sound of the waves from my Alexa. It brings back good memories and is also very relaxing.

you're right about the ruts when they mow in the rain. Thankfully we've been able to get the lawn done without much trouble but it's turning a bit brown now due to lack of rain.
