July 4 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Happy Fourth of July to all my friends in the U.S. celebrating today.
Today has been a good day. This is the day the LORD has made and I WILL be GLAD and REJOICE in it.
I'm thankful I got up on time and got out to the trail soon after daylight at 5 something. I took my camera with me and didn't see any deer. Go figure. I did get a couple of pictures though. One of the red-winged blackbird who always seems to follow me whenever she sees me on the trail.
I'm thankful for church this morning. We recognized our high school seniors this morning. Only two were present.
I'm thankful for the laid-back day today. I haven't done more than work notifications and watch TV. And get my steps, of course. I stopped going outside to walk and instead got them in the apartment. It's much too hot for me.
That's been the whole of my day. I have the last round of steps at the top of the hour and I'll be finished for another day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. From my walk this morning.

I am thankful that our nation is celebrating 245 years today which is an incredible feat.

Rain has been keeping things plesent enough. I'm thankful it appears to have stopped. We could see some more, but it doesn't appear to be as bad. Neighbors are popping things off.
I guess I'm thankful to be alive another day.

Yesterday we had visitors at our church that were people from McPherson. I so enjoyed it. They were meeting other family halfway between Wichita and McPherson so that put them in Newton, where we attend. I am sort of on a laid back binge right now. Only doing as much as I want to. I do have a mojor project but I am doing it at a slow pace.

If it's hot there like it is here, going slow with your project would be best. I'm glad you had visitors at church yesterday. Laid back is good in the heat.

@just4him Oh, I didn't realise she was unfriendly. We had a little robin that used to stay close if we were working down the paddock but he was never cross. I think we were probably on his 'turf' and he was keeping an eye on us. So, in light of your latest information, I hope you never see her again!

We had another lovely day in our area of Michigan, about 75 degrees. Tonight is the E. Tawas fireworks, off the pier. We will probably ride our bikes down, just before dark.
