Our car got a mud bath

We attended an endurance ride on the weekend at Greenhills in Western Australia. We have been having a VERY wet winter and the state of our car is testimony to the muddy conditions we all had to contend with on the day. We arrived at the venue early on the Thursday as we’d promised to help get set up. Firstly, we made three trips to a farm and collected three trailers, one at a time, to bring them to the ride site. Six kilometres of the road was gravel and, because of the wet weather we’ve been having, it was more of a mud slide. On the Friday morning, we went to the various checkpoints and set up water troughs, filling them from the water-cart. We had to be careful in the wet paddocks that we didn't get bogged. It was windy, cold and wet but luckily the ride on Saturday was held under much better conditions. Today, we took the car to a car-wash so it’s now nice and clean again.

Our borders are closed to the east but otherwise we have no restrictions at all. We've been incredibly lucky.

I was with him for most of it but on the Saturday he went to find an advantageous spot for photos and I stayed at the vet ring.

Luckily we weren't in that sort of danger from the mud. Just that the roads were a bit slippery in patches.

@jobelbojel West Australians can travel anywhere we like in our own country but if we go to the other states there would be restrictions when we try to come home. Probably just quarantine but things change from day to day. Within Western Australia we can go where we like.

That is a lot of mud on your car. We have dirt roads in our county that we sometimes need to go on and not a fan of it when it has or is raining. Glad you were able to wash it off.

@JudyEv Yes it is very filthy but that is just easy to wash by using a hose and soap to make it clean. I can car wash if I'm close to you.

Cheeeze, that's a really muddy car. Good thing you didn't travel over terrain that would cause your car to sink in when wet, that's what happens around here if we get a lot of rain.
