Tanned!

I managed to get a couple of hours out at the pool both yesterday and today and I'm proud to say I didn't get sunburned!! In fact, I got a little tanning going on.
Today I went out there and soaked up sone sun while the Snore Monster slept late. I stayed about two hours. Then later this afternoon he crawled back in bed and I snuck back out to the pool.
Later when I came inside the Snore Monster was awake and he immediately said, "wow, you can tell you got a tan now."
That's my big accomplishment for the day!!

@sjvg1976 ....While the Asians always yearn to get the white skin... In America, most people are more accustomed to seeing tanned skin because it's sexy, which sometimes translates to swimmer or wealthy..the Americans love to get tanned...

@LadyDuck I don't see how some lay out there for hours on end...and get sunburned and still lay there burning to a crispy bright red! There were a couple of ladies at the pool who were burned but yet they just laid there.
I can't handle hours out there. Sweating is not exactly fun, or not in my book. I also don't want to end up with skin cancer sometimes down the road.

@Koningjoy In the summer it's too hot. I can't let it get long again the way it used to be...down below my waist because it is too heavy and gives me headaches. I also had a stroke and don't need the weight.
My hair grows super fast. That is all growth from two weeks after a very short haircut of about one inch of hair.

@LindaOHio He is feeling better now. I think the combination of the bed there and the sofa had a lot to do with 1) my back issues and also some of his issues.

The snore monster in 3d - sounds like a movie title!
There is something about getting a tan that is so cool! don't get burned though!!!!

Yes, I always think about the pain from sunburn in teen years too and that makes me want to go inside.

Hooray for you! I tan very easily. Going to the dermatologist tomorrow so he can make sure I’m not getting skin cancer with my tanning accomplishments.

@kareng And I'm allergic to the ingredients in sunscreen and lotions. I'm prone to pre-cancerous spots, so sit in the shade most of the time. My light skin doesn't tan anyway, it burns.

I wish I could say I only got tanned. I was in sunny Cape San Blas, Florida for the past week vacationing in a 5 bedroom house right on the ocean....
And the sun was brutal.
I can't walk around in a tomato stand without someone making me an offer. lol
