Vacuum cleaners only suck when you turn them on

Today, we are putting up a picture track. Because we didn’t want holes in the walls, this track sits up next to the cornice. We drill holes under the track but once the track is in, you can’t see the holes. We can swap pictures around and put them higher or lower with very little effort. Vince drills into the brick wall and I have to hold the vacuum cleaner under the drill to catch (most) of the dust. However, it wasn’t until we had started on the second hole that I realised I hadn’t turned on the cleaner. It’s working better now!

@rebelann It wasn't heavy - just a bit awkward trying to keep it directly under the drill.

I noticed that Vince asks you to do exactly the same as my husband, he drills and I vacuum.

@JudyEv I am sure we are the best helpers they can find. I am sure that Vince does not pay you, Giorgio does not pay me!

@LadyDuck He says I am too 'mouthy' (cheeky/argumentive) to pay.

@xFiacre It was no good him going on about it as he didn't notice it wasn't on either. Maybe we're just getting too old for much at all.

You can move the pictures up and down without having to drill more holes. I can't find the photo now but you can see it on this post that I wrote back in 2016.
We have recently had the kitchen/lounge repainted. We wanted to hang up pictures and photos. We were loathe to put nails in our lovely new walls but we came up...

@JudyEv It's often the simplest solutions we overlook first. I guess our minds always assume the worst, and therefore we automatically start thinking of all the complicated things that could go wrong, instead of starting with the simplest solution first!

We always say when something goes wrong 'what's the simplest thing it could be?' It couldn't get much simpler than turning it on!! lol
