Lunch from the freezer

I thawed a container of yellow split pea soup. To go with it I made corn bread. Very simple and easy. Very frugal. I visited with my friend Jane this morning. We sat out at the lake and enjoyed the quiet. There were surprisingly few people that we could see out at the lake. My husband is in bed,napping. It is kind of a fall-ish day. I may go join him for at least a half hour. Life is simple sometimes.

Yummmm, I haven't had corn bread in decades. I miss the old time cornbread, beans and buttermilk, not that low fat garbage thats sold these days.
