I have been home just over an hour.
IN my mind I have this vision of coming home and my husband fixing me a cup of coffee, and perhaps a snack. Sitting down and deciding what we will eat, and him preparing it.
Ain't gonna ever happen.
Since I have been home I have 1. filled the water bottle for one of my students' emergency bus kit. 2. put a liner in the trash can by the fridge, 3. Thrown away the wrapper from my hubby's left over Arby's sandwich from lunch, 4. Listened to a phone call for hubby from a Dr. Office he has been referred to and wrote down that appointment.5. Filled the COMPLETELY EMPTY cat food dish 6. Started supper 7. poured myself a coffee.8. heated a piece of cornbread for a snack 9. Signed into Myhealthevet--the VA message and medical system and read a message. 10. wrote a query regarding this referral to a nephrologist Bob was given and 11. attempted to make an appointment with the VA primary care doctor, which is what the message requested. They are closed until tomorrow morning.
I was tired before I got home.
I turned over the rest of the dinner prep to hubby. Drank my coffee, ate my cornbread.
Tomorrow's lunch is already packed.
I need to choose clothes for tomorrow.
I need to call my sister. She went to the ER yesterday, and called me at about 7:15 this morning. I was already at work.
It might be nice to call my brother.
It might be nice to take a nap.

There was no liner in the trash can. I took it out this morning. He "couldn't find" the trash bags, which are on top of the refrigerator. Never mind that we have about six other trash cans. I get it that he does not feel well, but really?

I hope you find time to get a nap... well before it will be time to go to bed tonight. It sounds like you need one.

I did lay down for about ten minutes. I did not add that I came home planning to take a remedy for a sore in my mouth/throat and I did all of that before I could go get the remedy and take it. He did finish supper, his way, and open a new bottle of ketchup, because he cannot find the other one, and at my request got me a glass of milk to go with my meal, so I could take my morning meds, because guess what? I took my evening meds this morning.

@DaddyEvil Yes, mine are in a dispenser, I just opened the wrong flap.Mostly it is different vitamins and minerals morning and evening. Same two actual meds, though.

@GardenGerty Little steps... things could always be worse.
I missed half my morning meds yesterday. I put my meds into a seven day dispenser and just take what comes out. It's dark when I take them and I didn't notice half of them got stuck in the dispenser... I knew I didn't feel good yesterday but couldn't figure out why until this morning.

I sound really gripey. I used to happen all of the time. I used to be served coffee in bed in the morning. We used to sit on the porch swing and visit and drink coffee before work. I am really down about how down he is.

I am not really sure she is waiting for call backs from several doctors. She went because of possible reactions to iron infusions on Tuesday, but they are finding some other things wrong.

I should lay down for a little bit. It is just that things do not get done if I am not up and doing them. Hubby just is not very well.
