One egg per day

Today's morning I was in the kitchen cooking an egg with parsley, garlic and a bit of pepper when I hear on the news that one egg per day can prevent cardiovascular diseases.
A new study showed that eggs are an important source of cholesterol but they also contain high quality proteins, many vitamins and bioactive components such as phosphoric acid and carotenoids.
The analysis of the results showed that compared to people who do not consume eggs, daily egg consumption is associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.
This is good news, I love eggs and eat it frequently. Today, (I am working and need to bring my lunch with me), my lunch will be the egg I prepared in the morning, a soup and an apple.
Do you like eggs? How often do you eat it?

I remember when some years ago they told us that eggs killed us because they were so high in cholesterol.
I am so glad that I never listen and I eat what I feel is good for me. I am sure that one egg per day is excellent, three not at all.

@marlina They are becoming ridiculous, one day they say that you must not eat something because it is dangerous for your health. Some years later they encourage to eat that same food pretending they are healthy. I suppose it is according what they want (or need) to push. Now they try to stop us eating red meat. It's not a big problem for me, but some people really like.

Interesting to hear. Not as much as I should. I wish I was more of an egg fan.

@nela13 I do, but I don't make them that often. Maybe I will have some eggs for brekkie tomorrow. A nice omelette sounds good... Thanks for the suggestion.

That looks delicious! Yes, I like eggs. How often I eat them depends. Pretty doesn't eat them often because she doesn't like how they smell while cooking. Usually, unless she asks me to fix them, she doesn't want eggs. (I like them boiled, too... and when the eggs are boiled, I'll eat two a day.)

@nela13 I used to drink two eggs a day with a bit of cinnamon and milk when I was working out six days a week, an hour and a half a day. I didn't like drinking them but that's what I was told to do.
I grew some big muscles back then.

@DaddyEvil ohhh, I couldn't drink that but you are quite tall, is that because of the eggs?

My husband would be horrified at the thought of eating an egg per day. He doesn't really like eggs; at least, he is convinced that he doesn't.

@nela13 I think that it's just that he doesn't like the idea of eggs. I've seen him happily eat an omelet at a B&B, but he groans when I'm cooking eggs and ask if he'd like any. I'm a good cook, so I know that it isn't the issue.

@nela13 I don't have cardio problem. Five days ago I realized you're right. I got stomach ache after drinking tea with lemon. After drinking my stomach was upset then what followed loss bowel movement. I felt tired the next day and even in the 2nd day. When I opened our ref, I saw many eggs so I got 2 and boiled them and eat after. My energy was restored. I'm so glad I discovered the benefits of eggs. I am now including hard boiled egg in my breakfast.

I thought the same but it seems that isn't true according to this study.
