Yes indeed. Hubby's retirement party will be held a week from tomorrow. In a pizza parlor. It sounds like there will be at least ten to twenty people attending even though there is that big bad nasty thing called Covid going on. Hubby belongs to a beer brewing group. That's how he knows his buddy who also is the contractor who has patched parts of our house. And buddy just e-mailed that he is pretty sure he has Covid. Fever and lack of taste.....uh oh. So mark him and his wife off the going to the retirement gig list. No beer busting for hubby and buddy that night. So we'll see what happens.

My retirement party had no guests. 10 to 20 people is a good amount. Was " buddy " the guy he met again online recently after not seeing him for years

@sallypup I hope he hadn't got Covid. I wish nobody would get Covid.

Hopefully, your husband's friend gets better and does not end up with lasting damage. Yes, that sounds like a lot of people in a small space. Is everyone vaccinated, and is there good ventilation in the space?

@wilsongoddard If it were me I would call the whole thing off. This would really upset my husband so I am not saying that out loud.

Hope his buddy will be ok. But it is safer for him not to go.

That's bad news. Have you all had your vaccinations? Our son in Ireland had COVID but had had the vaccinations. He said he has had worse colds and flu so hopefully hubby's friend will recover quickly. Not a good idea to mix with him though.
