I Don't Understand... Weather is Weird!

It's raining here right now but the Weather Radar doesn't show any clouds in my area... Before it got dark the black thunder clouds covered our city.
After we have pouring rains the weather app on my phone shows we didn't have any precipitation here. That really needs to be fixed! It's so frustrating!
We drove home from Joplin, Missouri, in pouring rain... I hate driving in rain.
Have you noticed weird things on your mobile weather app?

@Vree0937 The song is old. Dora just sings it on her show. (Dora has been seven years old for over five years.

Our temps reached 65F today. Pretty nice compared to what we've been having here.

@DaddyEvil
That is a good news.
Comfortable weather would help you to invade others' discussions and do some teasing as well!

May be you can uninstall the existing App and use some other site for weather reports?

I can't uninstall it. It's a "sticky app" that came already installed by Lenovo. It's the recommended one in the US, anyway.

It was pouring rain again the last two days. There were flooded roads and yards again. I'm glad our house is on a hill so we don't have to worry about being flooded out.
I hope it hasn't flooded in your area. Take care of yourself and your family.

I don't rely on any app for weather predictions. My city's weather has its own mood and it doesn't toe the line of any app and prediction. You have to believe what's in front of your eyes
and not what the apps say. We have some respite from the rain but it is not fully gone. Today it was cloudy and gloomy but no rain in the day. It's 8 PM here and it's drizzling outside.

@arunima25 I've only climbed out of bed to go to the bathroom and grab food from the kitchen. (Other than when I helped Pretty make the food, that is.

I hope you're enjoying the rain. At least your day probably is cooler after that.
We just enjoyed thunderstorms from Friday evening until Monday afternoon. Some streets around us flooded but that's the worst that happened...

@Hanbinandaeyo If getting your shoes wet is the worst thing that happens, then you're very lucky.
Yes, we're doing fine, thank you. The culvert at the end of the yard is still full but the streets aren't flooded anymore.

@shaggin It's really annoying. If I'm going to get the wrong information, then I'm going to just use the NOAA site on my laptop.

I found out why the different apps are always wrong on what they tell me. My city is too small to qualify for a weather station so we're told the weather for Springfield, which is 35 miles away from us and at a lower elevation. It's no wonder the forecast is always wrong!

@LadyDuck I use my smartphone to take photos, too. I was just telling JJ that it didn't do so well when I wanted to get pictures of the moon looking like it was close enough to reach up and touch, though.

I just bookmarked the NOAA site on my laptop. It might be wrong but it's as good as I'm going to get.
Edit to add: We just got home from the ER. My doctor said the insurance wouldn't let her schedule me for a CT scan unless she re-ran a whole bunch of tests we've already done so suggested going to the ER. The insurance HAS to pay for the CT scan if the doctor at the ER runs it.
They could see I have asthma in my lungs, an enlarged spleen (which may or may not be what's causing my left side to hurt) and no other problems. When they ran other tests there, they also found an infection in my bladder, maybe caused by a slight kidney problem. The ER doctor said my GP will probably run some more tests to see what's causing that.
Now you know as much as we do.

@lovebuglena That's what I thought, too.
You do realize that all apps "harvest" data from your phone so their company can see that data, didn't you? They're in it for the money.

I was told that phone apps only update once a day, even though they show they update at the time(s) you choose. Mine is set to update once per hour. Now I use the NOAA site on my laptop to check the weather.

We ended up pulling onto the shoulder of the interstate until the rain slacked off so I could see to drive. (It's dangerous to park on the side of the interstate but more dangerous to drive when I can't see.)
Pretty had to go to Joplin for tests or we wouldn't have been out of our city when we were expecting torrential rains.

@RubyHawk That's very true. I've pulled over to the side of the highway before and my car was washed into the ditch. I've also pulled up to a stop sign when the roads were covered in ice and, after I was stopped, my car slid off into the ditch. Both times were "interesting", especially when the tow truck drivers told me that happens a lot along those areas.

ah that is easily explained. You have to be on a live radar feed to see real time - this one is 30 to 40 minutes delayed!!!!!!

@DocAndersen It should mean my real time, not theirs. Not if they want the app to be worth using.

Their website says they "adjust" what shows on my app in real time to give me a better experience. They aren't doing a very good job!

The weather app installed on my phone was the one the manufacturer installed. It's not a very good one. (I've bookmarked a good weather app on my laptop and won't be using the one on my phone anymore. *shrug*)
I was really surprised to see you back. I thought you'd run away from home or were so busy you couldn't find the time to be here. It's nice to see you again.

If the right person kidnapped me, it might be fun for a while.
I understand. When I'm editing manuscripts I sometimes stay away from myLot until I'm done. The paying client gets first dibs on my time.

@DaddyEvil I was kidnapped.. LoL.. Just kidding. On a serious note, life and a busy schedule made me busy and went offline from myLot.
I see. These weather apps can be useful when we really need it; certainly not a burden and makes life easier.

After a hard storm here the weather app said we got no precipitation. The people who got stranded because the road flooded didn't believe the weather app, for some reason.
