York is an historic town in Western Australia, one of the first to be established in our state. We went there recently on a bus trip. The previous weekend, there had been a jazz festival held there and someone had created the sand sculpture you can see in the top left-hand photo.
Lower left is a sign above what was once a guest house. Don’t you love the wording? I wonder how many would qualify nowadays?
On the right, is a photo of a display which appears in a liquor store. York is certainly geared to attracting visitors.
Shortly, we’re off to a garage sale or two to try to buy some plants and plant pots. I wonder what other treasures we’ll find.

What an interesting sounding little town...
I hope you find so many beautiful plants that you have trouble making up your mind on what to buy. I hope you have fun at the garbage sales.

@JudyEv Oh, that's nice. I still won't take Pretty to garbage sales... Too many people here aren't vaccinated and won't wear masks. (And yes, once in a while, when we drive past one, she'll gripe and gripe about me not being willing to stop. If she wants to endanger her own health, that would be fine... but she lives with me and I don't want to risk dying from Covid.)

@DaddyEvil People here are going off about their 'rights' and the having their 'freedom' curtailed but I want to be free to go into a grocery shop and not be surrounded by possibly infected people.

We've only been "respectable" for a few years here. Before that, total ill repute.
Actually, people thought that we were long-married before we'd ever said "I do." I guess that we just had that resigned look that comes with joint finances.
