In the Mood for Cake

This morning I was in the mood to bake a cake. So I looked in the refrigerator to see what was available. I found a container of whipped topping and part of a package of chocolate chips, plain flour, eggs and a half can of evaporated milk, In the pantry I found cooking oil, sugar, baking powder and canned apples. Looked like it would be an odd kind of cake. So I whipped everything together but the whipped topping and chocolate chips. It added up to a three layer cake and turned out perfectly. I spread the whipped topping and chocolate chips between the three layers and on top of the cake and it is tasty even if it is make do.

Black Forest cakes are delicious. I haven’t baked one in awhile but I have the recipe. If I think about it, one day I’ll get the ingredients and bake one.

Hi crazyhorselady, I’ve been looking for you since I came back a few weeks ago. I couldn’t find you. It’s good to see you. Hope all is well with you. My son passed away over a year ago and my mate Leo passed away in September so I’m completely at loose ends. It’s good to see you here.

I was in the mood for pumpkin bread, so I went to the store and got all the ingredients to make some from scratch. I just pulled it out of the oven to cool, it smells and looks heavenly.
