The district has a policy that if 5 % of the occupants of a building (staff and students combined) test positive, the whole building goes back to full masking. We passed that tipping point today at our building There is only one day left before our extended Thanksgiving break. So I wonder if the numbers will go down due to the break or if they will go up, because people have the days off to travel. We shall see. I always have a mask in my pocket or purse.

If we were betting, I'd bet on the numbers of sick people rising... Even when they shouldn't, people will continue to do the wrong things.

Yes. I will travel, but I believe most people I will be in close contact with have been fully vaccinated. I can always wear a mask.

@GardenGerty I'm fully vaccinated. (I got my booster shot yesterday.) But I know I can still catch it from people, vaccinated or not. I'll keep wearing my mask and avoiding people as much as possible.

I hope the numbers go down although perhaps it is not very likely.

The numbers will likely go up. There were two public holidays here at the start of November following which covid cases are now on the rise

We will likely be in the midst of another spread by Christmas.

It is a good thing that you wear masks when inside, sad that your numbers are rising. Hopefully people will stay in during their time off and stop the spread.

I think we will have even stricter rules when we come back. We have been too lenient.

I am pretty sure the numbers will go up thanks to the family gatherings and the colder weather.

Probably will go up. But not much can be done about it. School can't stop people from gathering

No one can stop people from gathering. They have to make those choices themselves.

The numbers will continue to climb, unfortunately. COVID is airborne, but too many people are still not behaving in accordance with that fact.

I mostly just go to work, at a school, and then church. I wear masks when shopping, and now masks at school. Social distance at church--small congregation.

I think our family is beyond that, but there are all the other people we see. Like me, at work.
