Kyle Rittenhouse, 18, is on trial for killing two men and wounding a third with a rifle during a turbulent night of protests that erupted in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
He has just been cleared of all charges. You have to believe in the justice system. It's not perfect but it is all we have.
I hope he can find a safe place to be for awhile. There are already protestors outside the court house, for days now.
Count 1: First Degree Reckless Homicide - Not Guilty
Count 2: First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety - Not Guilty
Count 3: First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety - Not Guilty
Count 4: First Degree Intentional Homicide - Not Guilty
Count 5: Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide - Not Guilty

I am so happy! Thank goodness! Also, keep praying for Kyle and his family that God will protect them. There are crazy people out there that could try to hurt them or murder them. The people against this verdict are not sane.

Yes, exactly. All of Kyle's attackers had criminal records and questionable characters to say the least. Sad, a teen who was only there to help out his father (who lived in the area) and friends who had businesses to protect, will now suffer from PTSD and nightmares for the rest of his life for protecting his... A terrible price to pay for cleaning off BLM/Antifa graffiti.

@CarolDM It is good news. And a fair verdict. Very pleased. Justice is served. Naturally there are going to be differing opinions about this verdict.
I wish safety to him now.

I knew nothing about this. I guess justice is the only hope left if society and law enforcement ended up making a kid kill people. He was definitely traumatized. No boy should go under all that stress.
In other parts of the world very young boys still go to war, yet it's disappointing to hear it happening in the United States.
To be honest, it sounded like excess of self-defense.
Kyle is very young, his views and actions were probably affected by his environment (parents e.g.), so I'd agree he wasn't really accountable for what he did, or at least, his alleged political views should be kept out of this.
Then I agree with he is not guilty of FIRST DEGREE intentional murder.
It could be second-degree, at worst.

@CarolDM Yes, when your life is threatened by those with weapons there is no such thing as excess self-defense. It is a shame what has happened to our country with all the division. I think most people are good, but the media has inflamed those few who look for an excuse to steal, destroy property, and harm people with differing viewpoints. The U.S. used to be a country where freedom of expression was tolerated. Now it has become a socialist/communist state where people are destroyed for expressing their views. Especially if it differs from those currently in power.

Um gulp. That young man killed people. His Mother abetted him. IF I had done that I would have been nailed to the wall. IF I was black I would have been thrice nailed to the wall. God help this country and its lack of decency.

@CarolDM White supremacy goes way further than the beef between blacks and whites. Its about being a pure race. So if I was a Cardinal bird and the head bird thought I did not do something the head bird liked he would want me snuffed out. I could be a gay cardinal bird, a purple cardinal bird, a gypsy cardinal bird and it doesn't fit the bill, then out I would go. On a rail.

I'll admit I was a bit surprised that justice prevailed in this case with the judge having to ban some of the news media because of their stalking the jurors and him. I am glad it the jurors were able to take in the facts and not buckle under pressure.

I don't know enough about this case to comment; but I hope that everyone remains sane and there are no riots and looting because of this verdict.

It would have been a travesty of justice if Kyle was found guilty. Even with all the media pressure and misinformation by CNN and MSNBC and other liberal news outlets the jury was not intimidated, they saw the video for what it was, (thugs with criminal backgrounds looking for trouble and to hurt people), and came to the correct verdict!

i do agree with your first statement People in this country are innocent until proven guilty. He was not proven guilty on the charges brought, time to move on.
