On Our Way to Davenport

Sometimes you just have to get away and enjoy some of the fruits of your labors. And so the wife and I decided to yank out $1000 and just hit the road to Davenport, Iowa and have a little bit of gambling fun.
We'll stop off first in East Peoria, Illinois and spend a couple of hours at Par-A-Dice there. East Peoria is about 2 hours drive from where we live. Davenport is about 2 1/2 hours from East Peoria.
There are at least three casinos in the Davenport area that we know of. Rhythm City, Isle of Capri, and Jumer's (which is now called something else and I forget the name).
We are taking Mom with us and it should be a good time and a nice little break the humdrum of everyday life.
We are weird, so we will probably hit a Goodwill and for sure Walmart while we are there. Thinking of having dinner at the Thunder Bay Grill if we can get in lickety split with no reservation.
The plan is to leave tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 8 am.
Wish us luck. My full plan is to go ahead and clean out all of their machines and come home with tens of thousands of dollars. I think it is a solid plan. What say you?

Sounds like a perfectly perfect plan to me. If it happens, save some and spend some.
My father was from Peoria. We've been to an Isle of Capri in Mississippi, I think.

Have fun and good luck! I live less than an hour from Atlantic City but only go there to eat at Carmine's. I'm not into gambling. I'll put $20 in a slot machine and be bored before I lose it all. I think the last time I was there I was up like $12 and cashed out. 
There also used to be a LUSH store there so that was my big draw. It is gone now so I only get down there for my birthday dinners.

lol You know what happened when we went to Presque Isle Casino. We had heard that the slots were tight; and they weren't kidding. It was no fun just losing. I hope you have a much better experience and come home with some cash. Have a great time; and drive safely!
