I will be making waves

Our school district owns a small handicap bus. Not taking it to these practices is a cost saving measure, and somewhat a convenience step for the powers that be.
My student needs the comfort and safety and convenience of being transported in his wheel chair.
He has also had seizures this year. I need to be watching him and not driving a vehicle.
I still will have to do the lifting and transporting today, but I shall begin addressing this before Christmas so that field trips and spring programs will be done differently.
I will start by going through my para team manager/facilitator.
Just thought you guys would like to know.
Based on what I know, it would cost the special ed. co op or district about $30 to provide the transportation. Certainly not as much as $50.
It is going to cost them a lot more if my student or I are injured.
It is time for a change.

Good. I was hoping you'd enlist help in getting something done to better the situation.

My brother indicates if I put it in writing I might be out of a job, but I doubt it at this point.

@GardenGerty I think the schools are searching for more help, just like every other place right now. You might get a warning if you put it into writing but I really doubt you'll lose your job. More likely, you'll get the help you need.

I think it would be better for them to change before anything bad happens.

Accountants don't think of anything but the dollar amount.

But administrators think of a bigger picture. I hope.

We do not want me injured or the child or the wheel chair damaged or the van.

I hope they dont fight you on it. Being for safety should make it easier.

I have a list of seven reasons why the change needs to be made.

I believe no one is thinking about the situation. As long as no one objects, nothing will change, so I am objecting.

A change in time to prevent injury is very good.

Indeed, good luck. Locally, we have a HandiVan for handicapped. TheBus.org that runs it, had a cyber attack! News says many handicapped, waited hours for their rides. Today so when I went shopping, riding the bus, no real time system called hea, no using the bus portal for our bus pass, it's terrible!
