I know I've still yet to come on here properly to answer all notifications but for now, I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Whoever you are and wherever you are, I truly wish you a happy, healthy and safe day.
Right now I am finishing off writing in cards and wrapping presents. It's a pretty hot day today! 
Around lunch time my dad, Nanny, brother and I will all hopefully get to see my Poppy (my grandfather - who is in Respite right now 
). Then dad, brother and I will have dinner with Nanny. Then when it's darker, my dad, Nanny and I will go look at Christmas lights.
I am sorry for being MIA. I haven't left! I'm still very much here! Just need to get back into it all again. All notifications are saved so if you've been commenting to me, I promise you will be answered back.
For now, honestly, from my heart, like every year, but especially this year, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I would love to know what everyone will be doing. If you're having a cold Christmas, I envy you!

Merry Christmas from Missouri, USA.
Our temp today was 22C and looks to be the same for tomorrow. That's a long way from the 0C we usually have at this time of year. (I'd share some of our, relatively, cooler temps with you if I could. @JudyEv says it's around 42C there right now. That's hotter than we normally get here, any time of the year.)

@VivaLaDani13 I don't mind late replies... And yes, Christmas was very nice. How was yours?
We just got 20 cm of snow/ice mix this past weekend and -3C. I'm just glad Pretty and I didn't need to leave the house. We had 5.5C yesterday and everything melted off.
I understand. We run the air conditioner all summer long so we're comfortable at 22C.
Edit to add: I thought you might like to see the Pine tree in our back yard before the snow melted yesterday. Photo is mine.

Oh the cool temperatures would be so amazing right now. There has been some rather cool-ish days after Christmas. But today is about 37C right now. Poor dog and cat are not having a good time with this heat. There has been some nights I have put ice packs on my bed to lay on. Trying to sleep in hot weather is quite difficult.

@VivaLaDani13 I've taking my time too, first I got a weird hand (too much touch-pad work before Christmas) and then I went off to Finland for a break. So now I don't know whether I should track the discussions I haven't answered or just find new ones.
Talked to my friend in Sydney for Christmas, we had kind of opposite weather problems. Here, we frist drowned in snow, then in water, had some really strong wind and now it's back to lots of snow.
As for the snow, you're still young, you'll have time to travel the world at the some point. So if the snow doesn't come to you, you can go to the snow. Right now, it's coming back here.

@Torunn I hope your hand is alright? Is it? I often get a sore right wrist as I use my right hand for my laptop mouse. I think do whatever you're comfortable with. I have OCD so I can't help but be thorough and back track. OCD is a blessing and a curse at times.

I hope so. I'm not really certain as there are new rules coming into place. I fear I may never be able to travel anywhere in the future. Seems more like a group of people (Mark Zuckerburg, Elon Musk, Bill Gates etc) are too keen on working on brain chips to make us become more virtual. Which is going to suck. Would rather see things for real and not holograms or in a virtual reality world.

I am currently going through all of my discussions again (very very time consuming but my OCD will feel better when it's done) and I promise to answer you back on that one as soon as I find it. I know I'm late in responding, but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you! It has not been very cold at all here where I live, it's been unseasonably warm, so I am also envious of people who got to experience a cold Christmas!

@VivaLaDani13 Yeah, for the most part life is good. I'm dealing with a nagging back injury, but it's more of an annoyance than anything else. Also trying to adjust to having a dog living with us now, since I'm allergic to them, but it's been manageable for the most part.

We are heading to Subiaco later today to spend Christmas with my sister-in-law. It's certainly a hot one. I hope you have a wonderful day too and that the New Year brings many pleasant surprises. The big news here is that our son in Ireland has landed a decent job after being two years virtually unemployed because of the pandemic. He is a jazz musician and all gigs and weddings stopped when covid hits. Now, he has a job overseeing Music Generation Mayo which focusses on promoting a love of music in children.

@JudyEv aw beautiful! I hope it was a great time! The heat was awful on Christmas! It was quite ok during the night. My dad, brother, Nanny and I drove around looking at some Christmas lights. Every year we try check out the lights in Connolly. Have you ever been up that way to check out the lights? Some of the houses are just spectacular!
I'm so sorry about your son. I'm so sad for all these people losing jobs or having to step down for not wanting the vaccine. It's a tough time for many right now. I'm so glad to know he was able to get another job. And such an amazing and inspirational type of job too! Good on him!
I hope you are all doing well! It kinda sucks having masks again! It makes it a bit harder to breathe when it's hot out.
