A Close Up of Orville the Osprey

He came to me when I called him as usual. I felt bad that I interrupted his fishing, so let him return.
FYI, our first several days in Florida were nuts!
It took me three entire days to clean from top to bottom!
The batteries died in our key fob, but the man who watches our condo helped us out with batteries he had on hand. Hubs had made a car appointment at the dealership for the following day weeks before we arrived, so the car was in good shape.
Our garbage disposal seized up, so hubs went with a friend to buy a new one. He installed it himself, but then the wall switch burned out. We had to walk 50 minutes each way in the hot sun to buy another one. Our son had taken our car that day to go to Biscayne Bay to go snorkeling and on a 3 hour boat ride. We didn’t want to bother anyone to drive us. Fixed!
Because hubs forgot to remove a plug in the garbage disposal, the dishwasher wouldn’t work. He figured it out by deduction while on the phone from the service department after waiting 30+ minutes.
Sigh…..
Always something…..

You imagined right
. Everything is fixed there until we return and find more surprises.
Here in Connecticut, hubs had to order special filters for our drinking water spigot in the kitchen. He put them in and no water. He spent half the afternoon fooling around with it, but decided that we better call a plumber. By accident, I turned it on to fill our water glasses as usual for dinner, and voila, it was working. We should have realized that we had to wait for the tank to refill

@DianneN - W had some "surprises" when we used this house as a vacation home, nothing really serious, but annoying.
Correct! You have to wait until the tank is refilled, men have no patience.
My husband is the same with hot water, he has to wait 2 to 3 minutes if he uses too much hot water, until the gas heats the water in the tank.

My garbage disposal quit working last night. After troubleshooting for about 30 minutes, I determined it’s time to get a new one!

@DianneN That’s pretty much what happened to mine. I rarely ever use it, so I suspect it just rusted out and seized.

@DianneN I have a camera, but I keep forgetting and never use it
- Hubby has used it more than I have
. My phone camera is losing focus on far things. Oh gosh yes - I'm glad you got all that done too early on too! I know the friend was kinda like a glutton, but I hope she was not too messy and helped you with the clean up afterwards with everything.

The picture of the Osprey is really majestic, flying high but the trouble you had to face after your trip to Florida is not something nice to hear. Hope everything is fixed and fine very soon.

A fixer upper time, then, but all done & good now? My toilet giving me trepidation. First, the chain broke on flusher, fixed. Then yesterday & last night to early morning, water sounds inside tank. Our handyman is here now. He just left to buy a new parts for it. So water must be turned off now. It'll be fixed today... tomorrow ophthalmologist appointment. Lucky Marukai near for restroom, if needed.
Me too, a bit of a fixer upper time. Thank God, it happens, when our office is open.
Orville sure is beautiful!

Me too. Apt. living, with handyman, is nice. I believe Orville loves you back, for being wild, and he comes when you call him, that's love.

Makes you appreciate the simple way things were done before. Keys that you put in the lock and turned, bins that you filled with rubbish and waited for the bin man to come. In those days there weren't technology based things that could break down. We have a wheely bin for our rubbish, in fact we have 3. One for everyday rubbish, one for recycle, and one for garden and plant waste. So we don't have a garbage disposal that is likely to seize up!
The picture is wonderful by the way.

@DianneN Unfortunate when it breaks down though.
My pleasure. I love it too. It's crying out to be painted!
Have a nice day.

It is
but some how we keep on keeping on.
cause what else is there.
So nice that Orville always remembers you. He must miss you when you are gone. Birds are certainly smarter then we give them credit for. Another wonderful thing God gave us to enjoy. Thank you for sharing Orville with us.
