@LadyDuck Everywhere's custom is quite different. Here there is nothing wrong to wear in purple.

Most people use cases anyway, so the color of the phone doesn't really matter. I don't use a case with mine. I've never broken the screen of a phone yet so don't worry about that.

That's amazing you have never broken your phone before. My phone has dropped to the ground many times but fortunately I have a phone case and a screen protector, so my phone still keeps well.

@youless I've dropped my phone several times. *shrug* I buy the ones with the Gorilla Glass 4 screens on them. It's hard to break those.

I would choose the color if they are at the same price, or just go for the lower price.

I like purple, but I might not want to get a purple iPhone.

If you buy directly from Apple Store there will not be any price difference on whichever color you choose, the price differences are due that the phones are purchased from resellers authorized or unauthorized as they are being determined by the demand and supply of the market or the bulk amount purchased in. To me the color is not an issue as I will definitely get a protective cover for such an expensive phone and Apple is very ridiculous to manufacture glass back covers when it is easily damaged when drop and smudges with prints after much usage handling. So when you get a protective cover over the phone, does it still matter what color is your phone? I will get the cheapest color and get my favorite color for the cover over it. I wouldn't even dare go around with my iPhone without a protective cover.

I don't know that iPhone keeps the same price for any color. As I think usually Apple products are rather expensive and it won't' surprise me if a new color will charge extra money. I have never bought iPhone because I like Android phone much more. Other brands charge different price for different color and I always choose the cheapest

@youless Like Apple if you buy direct from the official stores of another brand like Samsung, LG or other brands there will be no price difference on whatever colors you want except for the models or storage capacity.

@youless I agree with @Artemeis, Official stores - If you buy Iphone from Apple Store ( online or offline ) then cost will be same for all the phones irrespective of color. Their cost varies based on service you chose and Technical addons you request for. For other online stores --- There are various points plays roll in it What is the demand and supply ( This is basic one ) how an individual seller seeing the profit in the product. (I know a friend who sold 20 iPhone just reducing his profit by 1% ) When you are looking for the product is it when product was launched or is it when already newer product is launched from same company. Reaction to a News in Market.

Maybe this color thingy will appeal to younger and vibrant consumers; example younger girls or ladies who love a softer looking color. But it doesn't matter anyway because of the casing situation.. But some may use transparent casing, so the color may appeal to them.
