Dinner and Dirt

Just want to drop by to let you know that I have been trying to work on my notifications. I’m going to have to rest my eyes for a couple of hours, then return.
Our son and his girlfriend invited us for cocktails and dinner last night. We had such a fun time and got to play with the two girls, Eevee and Sia, also known and Mrs. B and Mrs. Pi. Don’t ask, and Happy PI day!
Today is the day our outdoor patio is being put in. So many dump trucks, cars, trucks, tractors, workers, and noise! We hope it’s completed by Saturday. They have a beautiful week of weather ahead.

@snowy22315 Just keeping the table and chairs on the deck. For the patio, I want that livingroom look, a round table with umbrella, and of course the firepit he's building with some chairs and lounge chairs. I've been looking around.......

Glad you had a nice dinner with your son and girlfriend.
Hope they get all that work done so you aren't dealing with all that mess and noise for longer than expected. I'm sure itcwill be nice when it's done.

@DianneN lots of stuff going on there but it will be awesome when it's done. A new stone wall, steps and a raised garden does sound beautiful. Will you put flowers or veggie in the garden? or both maybe?

Thanks! Those kitties can bite and scratch if you pet them too much. I’ve lucked out so far.
We decided to have a new stone wall and new steps pt in elsewhere in the yard just today. They are building a raised bed garden for me, too. I see a lot more noise in my future.

I’m sure the patio will be finished by Saturday, but we decided today to have a stone wall with steps put in elsewhere in the yard. He’s also doing a raised bed garden after the patio. Never ends here!

Please post photos of the patios when it’s done I can only imagine how amazing it will look. My sister in law just had one put in that is the nicest I’ve seen so far. Our whole back yard was one at one time but my grandpa had dirt laid over it at some point when I was little. I remember the stone wall and swinging our over the bank on a wooden gate.

Our son just Facetimed us and showed us the girls. I want to squish them with hugs and kisses.

By now, the patio is almost finished. We had and are having so much other work done. No time to be here to myLot.

@DianneN They are both sweetie pies. The one in the back looks so "innocent". Same as Bubi, small cute little thing, but he is the bossy one.
I am glad your eyes are better. We had wind that brought Sahara desert sand, my eyes did not appreciate.

Thanks so much. I have my last eye appointment on Tuesday.
I’m sure that sand was very unpleasant to your eyes and everything else. We are getting another dump truck load of sand again right now for the patio. I’m going to leave the house while they spread it. Bad for the eyes and nasty to breathe in.
