A map from a regional station shows a band of 40-60 mile per hour wind that stretches from the Gulf of Mexico north and slightly west ending just north of Denver.
Taking that map into consideration, we are not in the worst part, but it certainly seems like it.
The strong wind blew all day yesterday, and all night. It is still there tomorrow.
It is not cold out, but the wind makes things feel chilly.
At one of my homes a neighbor had retired from the park service in town. He always said that the spring winds force the nitrogen into the tree leaves and make them open up.
I do not know, but I feel I could parasail all over town right now, it is that windy.
Of course this also increases the danger of wildfires all around.
Be safe, stay warm and have a wonderful Friday.

The local guy’s morning vlog said they’re looking at blizzard-like conditions in Wyoming!
Hey, it’s BASEBALL SEASON! Warm up, already!

The one time I recall being in your neck of the woods semi trucks/trailers were blowing over.

That must have been around 1973. I recall a major sand storm that forced me and everyone else on the road to travel no more than 20 mph and the dern thing blew over a semi, I was on a street named Airport Rd so I can imagine what it was like on Highway 80. I don't think I10 was completed yet in that year.

If you are not too high up on hills or mountains it should be good.

@GardenGerty We are pretty high up on the hills, but we had no strong wind. The temperature is too warm right now.

The wind gusted up to 50 mph here yesterday and last night. Pretty went out on the front porch and said the wind tried to pick her up. When she came back in she didn't want to go back out.
Be careful if you're driving.
