Superstitious? - Yes or No

There are so many superstitions around the world:
Don't open an umbrella in the house, don't walk under a ladder, a black cat crossing your path, a hat on a bed, knocking on wood, breaking a mirror, the number 13, Friday the 13th, step on a crack break your mama's back, tossing salt over your shoulder, itchy palm, crossing your fingers for luck, four-leaf clover and on and on.
The only thing I tend to do is knock on wood when I say something that I really don't want to happen.
Do you have any superstitions? Are there any that are specific to your country?

All those you mentioned are pretty common superstitions here as well. I don't believe in any but sometimes I have to follow a few just to avoid any argument with the people around men that believe. One superstition is to not clean the house at night. We use a broom to sweep the floor and according to this superstition, sweeping the floor in the evening is actually throwing all the good luck out of the house.

@LindaOHio - Better if lentils are served with "cotechino" that is a large pork sausage, seasoned with peppercorn and herbs, requiring slow cooking. I do not eat cotechino anymore, as my husband does not eat pork

I wash my feet before I sleep. It used to be a superstition thing but I do it for hygiene purpose.

I'm not a superstitious person and I love black cats. I do tend to "knock wood" though

I don't consider myself superstitious. Catous, sure, superstitious, no. I try not to break mirrors, because you can seriously get hurt. I try not to walk, or roll, under a ladder. Not because it's bad luck, but because you never know how stable it is and may not see what's on the top. I love black cats. They are the most loving cats I've ever had. As a cat owner, I know any cat of any color, can be a tripping hazard. So my cats collars have bells on.

I'm sort of superstitious.
I tend to believe in the law of attraction, so if I think something might bring bad luck, I try to avoid it.
Also, if I'm not being superstitious but someone else is, I want to avoid their "lectures" too.
Here in Italy #17 is also deemed to be unlucky, along with #13. Then we touch the hump of the "hunchback" for good luck, we also carry lucky charms such as chili peppers... and the list goes on.
We don't knock on wood but touch iron if someone says something we don't want to happen.
Or touch balls, if you're a male.

That is a good question. I guess the only thing I can think of when I do my praying to G-d that I do not pray enough or hard enough because He just ignores me and I wonder why. I cannot speak for my country but can only speak for me. I decided to check out what ours are in my country and I found some. One I can remember is do not sit at the end of the table. I did not see an explanation. I decided to find out why that is so and it said that you leave some unspoken messages around you and I will leave it at that. I did not know about the ones I read.
