The Weather Forecast Sounds Ominous For Today

Happy Monday Everyone! looks like a nasty day ahead with the potential for some severe thunderstorms. I'm hoping we don't get horrible weather and just maybe some rain. Right now the sun is fading in and out and more clouds are moving in.
The weekend was busy so I'm happy to have today to catch up on things around the house and relax.
If all goes well I'll be able to sit and read. I started a book and then put it aside and haven't read any more of it in over a week. I hate when that happens.
My son in law is the best! we had been talking about having to go and get a propane tank for our new barbecue grill. Yesterday he showed up with one and wouldn't even take the money for it.
I'm hoping the weather cooperates so we can actually grill a lot of our dinners this week.
Tonight we're having leftovers and the weather is supposed to be bad so hopefully tomorrow??

We got thunderstorms yesterday that started with 15 minutes of hail and then poured buckets of rain down on us. It was a lot of fun.
I quit grilling years ago. I always managed to burn myself every time I grilled.

@Marilynda1225 Pretty burns herself in the kitchen every once in a while. I think she forgets to be careful when she's grabbing hot food.
I hope everything is okay there. More thunderstorms last night. It's still cloudy and nasty looking outside now.

Burning yourself would seem the solution to not grilling anymore (ouch) I'm notorious for burning myself in the kitchen but don't remember it happening while grilling,
Our weather today is whaky. Sun, then rain and hail (lasted less than 15 min), cleared up and then rain again, cleared up and now it's getting dark and I'm sure we're in for a roller coaster ride all night

I like hamburgers on the grill, but there are a lot of yummy possibilites. I like making barbecued chicken when I have a lot of chicken

@Marilynda1225 Veggies and peaches are good on the grill. Even pizza can be grilled so they say. I think I might have tried it once..and Halloumi cheese.

We started with rain this morning, which wasn't in the forecast, but the sun is in the sky and we are enjoying more seasonable weather, with cooler temperatures then yesterday. That is delightful. 
My favorite food to grill is shishkabobs and also grilled peaches.

@Marilynda1225 I peel and cut up peaches, put them onto a piece of tin foil, add a drop of honey and a light sprinkle of cinnamon and close up the tin foil while we eat supper. They are always done when we finish.

I've never grilled peaches but I bet they're good. Maybe I should give it a try this summer.

Definitely steak on the grill. In addition to your eggplant and peppers I also love corn on the cob and zucchini.

I"m hoping today is just an isolated day of bad weather.
We haven't grilled anything in awhile either since we needed a new one and just got it last week.

That's so nice of your son in law. It's Monday evening here and all our meals today was leftovers from yesterday. So, a day free from cooking and I could do a lot of mylotting . It's raining outside right now with loud thunderstorms. Thankfully we had sun in the daytime today. Sun has become less frequent here in the last two weeks.

@Marilynda1225 My husband is not here and I manage with quick meals and leftovers. My daughters also like it.
Weather in our city is gloomy for most of the days throughout year. We get a lot of rain.

Grilling is easy. Most everything is simple and quick . Not only does it taste good but it solves the whole problem of cleanup since there's no pots or pans

It sounds like some bad weather might be headed out way to as the wind is picking up. I get tired of grilling but with having to make more meals I might have to force myself to begin again.

@Marilynda1225 since I'm always standing at work I dislike needing to stand at my grill. Sometimes I've taken a chair outside to sit while waiting.

The forecast rain was a light mist for a very short period of time. The sky however was dark and stormy looking for much of the day.

Sometimes the sky can look more ominous than the actual weather turns out to be. I don't mind a rainy day but I get anxious when they predict severe storms and high winds.

I love turkey burgers, BBQ ribs and hot dogs on the grill. I hope the weather isn't too bad. Stay safe. Your SIL sounds like a gem.
