I Think It's A Couch Potato Type Of Day

Happy Friday Everyone! the temperature is creeping up and we're heading into a very hot weekend. The sun was out earlier this morning but now it's disappeared behind some very dark clouds and we're getting rain and thunderstorms for the rest of the day. The lawn crew is here so I hope they finish before the storms move in. I would hate for them to be mowing during a thunderstorm. It's only been a week since the grass was mowed but it grew so high in such a short amount of time. I probably wouldn't have noticed it quite so much until I saw how high it was on the dogs. One dog romps around in the high grass the same as when it snows. The other one is picky and just picks his paws up like he's stepping on something horrible. Both dogs are about as opposite as you can get. The one who loves to be outside and romps around will now hide as the weather gets bad and the other one will just sleep through it all. Dogs really do have their own unique personalities (cats too I'm sure) Can't say there's much happening here today We're having burgers for dinner so that will be quick and easy Anything fun going on with you today or for the weekend?

Do you get tired of all that rain or are you used to it?

My day was busy, grocery shopping, some errands, a long walk with my husband in the afternoon. It was a hot day and I am tired. I confirm that also cats own unique personalities.

When my children were growing up we always had cats and I have to say each and every one of them was different. When my daughter moved back in with me she brought her two dogs with her and at first I was skeptical but they won over my heart and I can't picture life without them.

@Marilynda1225 - I adopted a cat left behind by a family who moved to live in an apartment complex. Gevi (the cat) is a lazy cat, he almost does not meow, only a faint meow to tell me he is hungry, lays in the garden all the day, sleeping or looking around. The ginger cat of my neighbor is the most vocal kitty I ever heard. He is lovely, he runs to me as I call his name, he is like a dog.

@LadyDuck I've always been partial to cats. When I moved here I wanted a cat but my mom was living with me at the time and she was deathly afraid of cats so I couldn't get one. Then my daughter came with the dogs so a cat is not something I would want right now. My granddaughter just got a little kitty to keep her company while she's away at college and it's the most adorable fluffy little thing. The cat Gevi you adopted sounds like my old male dog Gizmo who loves to sleep and only gets excited when it's time to eat. Animals do make our lives interesting

I can't think of anything being different today than it was yesterday unless Roscoe gets into trouble doing something new.

It's due to his lack of tryin, mostly it's my constant checking on him and his girlfriend, they're both trouble makers.

I guess Roscoe has been behaving as I haven't seen any new posts about him getting into mischief

I slept most of the day since it was raining here. My eyes are swollen again, so we can't get to the grocery store. (Pretty isn't happy about that.) Our grass is getting taller, too. Pretty mowed a few days ago but it needs to be mowed again. It doesn't look like we'll be able to mow again until one day this next week. Screenshot is mine.

@Marilynda1225 We never got above 51F today (Saturday) and the house turned the central heat on. We have a big yard at this house and it always looks good after we mow. Part of the back yard. Photo is mine from last year.

That screenshot looks pretty depressing to me. Are you sure you aren't in London?? lol Guess all that rain will keep the grass growing. Ours looks much better now that it's been cut. The crew comes here once a week so it's always looks pretty good.

@DaddyEvil wow you do have a large yard. The grass is a beautiful green and Pretty does a nice job mowing. It must be nice having such a large yard.

Dogs are so cool and so different in their personalities. If you want to read about my Meals or an Update of what happened yesterday, check out my posts. The one is quite long....Too long to recount here.

I'll have to go back and look. I know you were having issues with both Satellite and Dish? Will have to see what you had for your meals. I enjoy those posts

@LindaOHio I don't think there's a cable company that is good and reasonably priced for their services. See you do need to start your own

@Marilynda1225 Yeah, Spectrum and DISH both suck! As do all other satellite and cable companies.

Glad you've been able to enjoy your birds. Hope you get the rain you're looking for. Our rainy day wasn't as bad as predicted but I think we missed a lot of what went on in surrounding areas.

@CarolDM my weekend was nice even though it was very hot. Stayed inside, enjoyed the a/c and was happy the thunderstorms they were predicitng never happened.

Staying cool is mostly on the agenda for the weekend. However, if Sunday doesn't feel too bad, I might consider going to the Renaissance Faire. We will see.

Renaissance faire sounds like fun but I've never had the opportunity to go to one. Hope it isn't too hot for you to go

Sheep have their own likes and dislikes too. I guess most animals do if you get close enough to them.
