Grilling Seafood On the Beach

When we went to the nearest beach, it is expected to grill some seafood. We bought them from the town proper. They were so fresh and we did some preparation to grill them. This is what I always miss in going to the beach. If I could have more time, I would want to stay at the beachside using a tent for a few days. What do you usually want to do at the beachside?

I remember that we also grilled fish on the beach when we were young. We stayed at the hotel, but we had a small coal grill, we bought fresh fish and we grilled, it was delicious.

Going to the beach is not complete without grilling here. When I was still living in the country, I usually drop by the nearest beach as a stress relief.

@Shavkat On most beaches you cannot grill, but on partly deserted beaches it was not a problem.

@LadyDuck I got it. I hope I could have the chance to own a place at the seaside in the future.

When Pretty was little we drove half-way across the US to go to a beach in California. (I've been to the beach twice in my life.) The water felt too cold for us to want to swim in the Pacific Ocean. We walked along the beach and collected a shoebox full of shells.

@DaddyEvil I am not sure if I can endure that long hour of travel. If once in a lifetime, then I would.

It will take at least 3 or 4 hours to go to this beach. Before the pandemic, I usually get my backpack and go to the nearest beach by bus for about 2 hours.

I've never grilled at the beach but I do love swimming and walking along the edge collecting sea shells.

We only do grilling when staying for a long time on the beach. It is most likely happen because we are too far from the nearest beach. Speaking of collecting seashells, I did this.

We play with the sea water and sit on the sand and feel the cool air of sea water and eat whatever is sold at the beach.

I can dig you with that. I sometimes just sit at the seaside and listen to the sea waves.

@aninditasen I agree. We need to deal with the cleaning part again.

@Shavkat The cool sea water's splash is soothing and makes your body cool and your mood too. Though you have to wash your hands and legs once again.

I miss that kind of fun at the beach. I love sunbathing when I am not swimming.

That's part of the usual. We also sing, dance, and tell stories around a campfire. Sometimes, a night swim would be great too. The most interesting part is being awake all night talking with friends and relatives. and yes, the karaoke will always be there for anyone, It's a must have.

We might take a picnic but we wouldn't usually cook on the beach. You wouldn't be allowed to camp on the beach here unless there was a designated camping spot. Of course, you have to get caught first.

I agree. Some beaches do not allow it in my country. I think camping is allowed here without any approval.

I remember as a kid, spending time on the beach when we lived in California for a spell, grilling on the beach. It was usually pork chops or burgers or something. But it was always good, and I think some of that salty air made its way into the food, which somehow seemed to make it taste all the better.

It would be nice if you took a photo of it? What seafood? The name of the beach? and location?

I did post a photo here. We grilled some big squids and milkfish wrapped with banana leaves. It is a private beach in Binmaley, Pangasinan.
