Wish I Could Smile Like This When Doing Yard Work!!!

Wish I could smile like this doing yard work!! Some people make it look so easy!! Think we're in over our heads!! Don't think it will ever get done. Yard help for a reasonable price is not easy to find. Everything is all tangled up and it is torture!! Vines, weeds, sticks, bamboo poles, and etc... I could scream or scream louder!!! Running out of money, after a couple hundred more, I'm going to have to call it quits!!!

I am terrible at yard work and I don't enjoy it. We now live in a community where we aren't allowed to have grass. Hmm, maybe I will write a post about that. We have woods and forests all around us and they want the neighborhoods quiet, so no grass is allowed and now mowers. That's nice and keeps everything quiet so we can enjoy nature.

@db20747 - I like to work in the garden, mowing the lawn is not the most interesting job, but it's in the nature, better than typing on my keyboard.

We have a big yard. Full of flowerbeds, bushes, roses, flowers that light up, etc. Before my sister brought this house the previous owner had done some beautiful landscaping. She worked from sun up to sun down beautifying the place. So when my sister bought the home, she promised the previous owner that she would keep it up. she added many flowerbeds made of stones and everything that beautifies a yard. Thank God for my husband. He also is a landscaper. He keeps the yard up on a consistent basis. He told our yard man that all he had to do was cut the grass and he would do everything else. Shape the bushes, trim, pull the weeds, and anything else to keep the yard beautified. People come from all over just to see our yard. One day I asked my husband how does he feel about having to do such a huge yard? He looked at me and said, When I am doing my yard it doesn't feel like work. Not like when I am actually at work. He works for the military. He told me working in the yard clears his mind, and makes him feel at ease. He also said when he is at work he is closed in. Being outside in the yard he is free. I was amazed and very appreciative.

I can’t imagine having to do it myself. It seems like so much work, and with the summer months it makes it even more difficult.

I can imagine how frustrating it can be when yard work seems to be overwhelming and never-ending. It's important to take breaks and not push oneself too hard. Perhaps reaching out to friends or neighbors for help or looking for affordable professional yard services can be options. It's important to prioritize one's physical and mental health over completing yard work.

This is a good idea. It's getting done slowly but surely. Thought I was in over my head. Now I'm in the raking stage.

I don't have a yard But my grand mother had it. I remember when she asked me to swipe all the leaves in the ground at that yard, feels like forever to do that chore

When I was a kid and still lazy, hehehe. I hate working on our front yard. The stubborn grass or weed kept coming back after removing it from its roots.

Aw.... you should consider relocating to India. Such help is cheap...but you should shift along with a few friends...otherwise, you would feel lonely. You would also need medical insurances...International coverage...wait for four years and then come here. Seems too much of a hassle I suppose.
