Just got over having covid

I never thought I would get Covid as I have been so careful wearing my mask, and keeping my distance. Now, though, we have no mask mandate as it has been lifted, so I just don’t wear it when I go shopping. I didn’t have it to bad though, thank goodness for that. People my age can get it really bad, and end up in the hospital. Thank goodness, the worst thing I had was a sore throat, and a cough, which is much better than it was. What I am saying is, we can take precautions and still get it. I do take my vitamins everyday, which I feel has helped as I was able to get rid of it within a week. I am not vaccinated, as that is my choice. I am thankful I didn’t end up in the hospital. I am going to come in here more, God willing as I have missed interacting with all of you.

I got it last April and my symptoms were very mild. But still there were some long term effects that I struggle with. Take good care..and the virus is still lurking around. We should not undermine it.

I know as it stays with us and you are right that we do need to take it seriously. The worst symptom was my sore throat. It could have been worse though, and I am thankful it wasn't..

The virus moves in the air so when in enclosed places with others it is safer to wear a mask.

I heard that those that got vaccinated can still get it and that the symptoms can be worse than if they never got vaccinated. My daughter-in-law lost her father after he got vaccinated as he suffered a heart attack and he was gone immediately. As long as I keep my immune system up with the vitamins, I won’t have to worry about being vaccinated.

@Edsamacos .it affects each individual differently. I was fortunate enough to have a mild case, as it could have been bad. I am so glad it wasn’t.

@rosekiss that is.correct.people even vaccinated can still get the virus. Mine was mild but I did not think that it was just a simple flu.

Hope you get well soon. Why did you choose not to be vaccinated?

I don't wantto take any risks as getting vaccinated is a risk. I have done well so far and I know I will be okay as long as I take my vitamins and take precautions.

I can certainly understand that. I think buses, trains and plains still have a mask mandate. At least they should anyway. You have nowhere to go and everyone is close together, so yea, I would wear a mask in those situations too.

Thank you. IIt is great to be back. I am also glad I am feeling a lot better, as it could have been much worse. I dodged a bullet that time as taking vitamins does help to stay healthier. I at least know what to look for now, should I ever get it again, which i hope I don’t. I do believe as long as I take my vitamins, my symptoms will be mild.I am thankful it wasn’t worse so I can get back to doing what I like to do.

I do keep masks with me, even though our mask mandate was lifted at the end of March. I just keep my distance from others. There are still a few that wear masks, and I feel it is a matter of choice. I will go back to wearing them again, if necessary.

I can't remember the last time I saw you on here. So glad to hear from you and hear that you didn't have a bad bout of the COVID, that it was only mild. I have been vaccinated for a long time now and have been lucky. Kids too.

My daughter is the only one in the family vaccinated and she has had it twice. Everyone is different so it does affect each individual differently. She didn’t have it too bad either which is a good thing. I will just keep taking my vitamins and hope that I don’t get it again.

I definitely will. The vitamins are what kept Covid from being bad and I was able to get over it easily. I wasn’t to worried when I got it, as I knew the vitamins will keep me healthier. Lots of people my age, aren’t so lucky, so I thank God that I had a mild case. I am much better though. At least I know what to look for should I ever get it again.

Me too. I really wasn’t worried though as I knew with taking my vitamins, they helped my immune system and it was very mild. I hope I don’t get it again, but if I do, I know what to look for, and it shouldn’t be to bad should I get it again.

I think you should get vaccinated and follow the covid protocol though it has not been enforced in your country. Wishing you quick recovery without aftermath complications.

I will not now or ever get vaccinated as it isn’t a true vaccine anyway. Getting vaccinated means you are not going to get what you are being vaccinated for. We all know that with this vaccine we can still get it, which means it is experimental, and not a true vaccine. I am not telling others to get vaccinated or not to, and I shouldn’t be told either, as it is a personal choice. I am building up my immune system by taking vitamins, so I don’t need the vaccine. Besides, the risk is to great.

@rosekiss You really have been through the ringer and Covid and then selling your house. That is too much. That is good that you got better in a week. I do not judge those that are not vaccinated. Everyone has to feel and do what they think is best for themselves. Welcome back and hopefully you will be able to be back here now.

Very sorry to hear you had to go through it. I had it a few weeks ago as well. Not terrible, but not exactly a picnic either. I am not vaccinated either, and also by choice. Not that it would have mattered had I gotten the vaccine. It didn't work. Almost everyone I know not only got Covid who had the vaccine, everyone who got Covid who was vaccinated had a worse bout of it than I did. Beyond that we know the masks did not work, the shutdowns did not work, social distancing did not work and the vaccines did not work... So all we had to was ALL eventually get it. lol Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Onward and upward to you.

Thank you and I am glad you didn’t have a bad bout of it either. You are right that the vaccine just doesn’t work. It is only experimental anyway, and we are the experiment. It is sad that as lot of people think that because they are vaccinated they are safe from the virus, but we know that isn’t true. As long as I take my vitamins, I know that I will be okay should I get it again.

@porwest I have only had it the one time and for that I am so flash as there have been people my age that have got it and didn’t fare so well, s as they would end up in the hospital, and not make it out. I am definitely going to keep taking my vitamins as they have helped me too.

@rosekiss I think the vitamins were my saving grace as well. I was actually exposed 6 times to it directly before I finally got it.
