Winstead Connecticut resident Shannon Davis received the scare of her life two days ago when she returned home from work. I know if I were in her shoes and saw a bear entered through her window and walked into her home through the kitchen to get food since bears like food like we need to breathe, I would be scared. Shannon used the power of the social media site Facebook to record the bear walking inside of her home before she asked her neighbor for assistance who then knocked on the front door of Shannon's home to scare the bear to get him out of her home. The noise from the front door scared the bear to walk out of Shannon's house by going into Shannon's bedroom and out of her window to his home in the woods. The good news is that the bear did not cause much damage to Shannon's home thank goodness. Even though I was not there I guess that the windows of Shannon's home were open since maybe Shannon did not know about bears in her area or she wants to save on her electrical bills by not using an air conditioner inside of her home.

I would never leave my windows open when I am not at home. We have no bears here, but I would surely find inside the cat of my neighbors.

@Deepizzaguy If we park the car we must close the windows, if the car is stolen the insurance does not pay if you left the windows open. It is the same if you are burgled and you left your windows open. Your problem!

The rule from law enforcement in America is to keep windows in autos and houses closed to prevent criminals from getting inside of a property.

I can understand how much she would have been scared seeing the bear in the house. They are dangerous.

We learn from our experiences. I hope she closes her windows when she leaves now.

Whatever it is. Anyone will find ways to feed himself when he's starving just the bear who intruded the house of Shannon.

I had a funny thought of the bear's revenge after what Goldilocks did . . . but I'm sure Shannon would not think it were funny !

That is true that Shannon would not find the thought of the bear getting even with Goldilocks since the bear did get inside of her home.

I wouldn't mind betting that Shannon will keep her windows closed in future.

I'm glad that the bear and Shannon are OK; and everything is back to normal. Perhaps she will keep her windows closed from now on.
