Ok, this is what happened:
I wanted to make boiled eggs for the week so I put a pot of water onto my single electric burner. The pot is a little bigger than the burner plate so while I waited for it to boil I did my due diligence on 2 of my sites. Once I was done with that I checked the water as it needs to really boil to make those boiled eggs. Well, the water was still cold, turns out I forgot to plug the stupid thing in 
Talk about a waste of time.....well, I plugged in the burner and waited again for the water to boil. It takes a while though.
I can't even think of a good excuse as to why I'd forgotten to plug it in and just don't you dare gimme that yer old thingy 
Finally the water boiled and now I have my boiled eggs.
In case yer wondering, yepper I do feel stupid cuz I'd already drank 2 cups of coffee cheeeeeeeze.
This is the very 1st episode of Shindig which aired on Sept. 16, 1964. I was 15 and I didn't even know about this show yet. It's really interesting what my generation was listening to back then .... I wasn't cuz Ma n Pa controlled the TV and I had to share whatever time us kids got with the others so that often I was trumped and didn't get to watch what I wanted. Does anyone out there remember this show?

Well it happens and even after you had your coffee. Yesterday I put the toasts in the toaster, brew my coffee, went to get the toast to spread butter and jam, just to realize that I had not lowered the level and the toasts were not toasted.

We all do things like that. Luckily this Am I remembered I had unplugged the coffeepot to plug in the slow cooker.

You know that lost time can't be replaced 
You're in good company, I have given up more minutes and hours forgetting where I placed things than I care to remember. At least you didn't heat up some boiling water in a pot and forget it. 
There were quite a few shows featuring musical groups like Hullabaloo, Midnight Special, Shindig and in England, The Beat.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, been there done that way too many times ....... I have the old burned out pots to prove it too 
The worst part is sometimes I was trying to boil eggs, cheeeeze, what a mess.
Oh yeah, the Midnight Special was one heck of a kool show I never got to watch, I worked nights back then.

Well the reason of forgetting to plug your electric burner in is you're preoccupied of due diligence to your 2 sites.
Same experience with my wife who cooks our rice in an electric rice cooker. She loads the clean rice with measured water and reclines while watching Netflix in her cellphone. When I arrive home past nearly 12 noon. I have to prepare for our lunch. I open the rice cooker. The rice is still soaked with water, uncooked.
Well, I plug in the rice cooker and wait until the rice is cooked. I tell my wife that we have to wait for another several minutes till we eat our lunch.

Ah, this is another one before my time. This was a variety show? Believe me, I've done stuff like that too. I've forgotten to plug in the rice cooker . . . well, we didn't have rice that night with dinner. Maybe you needed a 3rd cup of coffee . Ohhh, cool Roscoe gif !
