Baby Rabbit Visits The Garden Daily

Wild rabbits visit the yard often. Especially this time of year. They love to eat the clover and the grass. Have been seeing this baby rabbit (in the photo) every day. He always comes and hangs out around the bird bath. Even when the birds come and go, he stays around. I am thinking since it is cool around the bird bath, he enjoys this spot. The water spills out when the birds splash the water. Perhaps that is why he chose this spot. And he can get a few sips of water from the ground as well. Either way I was able to sneak out in the garden and snap a few photos of him late yesterday evening. So cute how his ears perked up when he heard me. When he finally saw me, he took off running into the bushes. Enjoying the little things every single day. I hope you are doing the same. Photo is mine.

I was so proud of my cucumber plants. I have rabbits in my yard, I saw one very brave rabbit hop to the cuke plant, take a big bite and snapped it off at the root, and vanished with the entire plant in his mouth. I yelled at him, we have lots of grass and clover for him to eat. He hasn't chomped on any more of them, yet.

Glad you have cucumber plants. Many will put up wire around their gardens here.

@CarolDM Next year there will be a wire fence around it. I'm just glad I only lost one plant.

Kinds of makes me miss having rabbits. We had three growing up. I imagine the bird bath is very refreshing.

I always take great pleasure in seeing the animals that we share our spaces with. I absolutely love it when I see deer, regardless of where I am, I find them so beautiful. I'm enjoying the little things in my day today, and your baby bunny photo was one of them.

@CarolDM I suspect that Dustin is sitting on that special little bench, and beckoning the bunnies to the yard for you to enjoy. He's probably sneaking them some lettuce that they are munching on having you think that its just clover.

They make me so very happy. And seeing them in Dustin's garden is a delight. So cute how he visits the same spot every day. Beside the bench as well. That special bench. Little things are the best. Glad to hear you are enjoying as well.

He’s a cute little bunny. My sister told me today that wild turkeys were coming to her yard. She said they acted like they were at home.

I enjoy the rabbits . Used to see turkeys a lot when the dairy farm was behind the house. Now I see them down the road.

He is so small I could hold him in my hand if only he would let me. Ha! His ears perked way up when he heard me. I have seen them jump straight up from where they sit. Too funny.

@CarolDM a lot of people see them eating their flowers but they seem to leave mine alone. Maybe a neighbor has something they like better.

Wow, he is so cute. I always miss watching nature closely. We don't have big houses here except buildings and have a high population, we don't see deer, rabbits, birds, etc at our place.

That's pretty cool that you were able to snap that photo before he ran off. We have bunnies and occasionally one will run through the yard. They do run fast!!
