Investigating the possibilities

Okay, guys, there is still some access point for my cats to get out. Mind you, they do not use the same way in, but they are definitely going out. Either that, or Bob or I are sleepwalking and letting them out, but I do not think so. I have three windows open, that is all. I have four windows that have air conditioners, but supposedly the sides are sealed. My supposition was the sewing room. So I shut the door. The kitties do not have access there. Angel is proving this supposition of escape for me. She was in our bedroom, also with an a/c unit. She asked Bob to let her out of the bedroom during the night. She was outdoors this morning. Again, I have checked the open windows, but the screens are intact. So today I will be checking my perimeters.

Hope you find the spot. As JJ said it might be at the edge of a screen.

It is the edge at a corner. Darn. I like the fresh air.

@wolfgirl569 I have a box fan scooted up against that window now. We will see how that works.

@GardenGerty I stapled wire over the openings inside the house. Its not extremely pretty. But it keeps them in.

Test those screens, maybe they're pushing one open, I've seen a cat do that before, not mine thankfully

Evidentially Tinker tore out a very small corner. Bitty has not discovered it yet, but the big girls have.

Oh those smart aleck girls .... it won't take Bitty too long to figure out how they got out.

@rebelann I have it covered again. Bitty is being pretty good about asking out in the daytime and coming back to the door.

Especially Lady. So odd to bring her off the front porch, see her eat, and then she is on the front porch again.

Cats can maneuver through very small spaces and fall long distances.

A very tiny space is enough for cats to go out, check the screens.

You are right, Tinker tore out another screen. I had been checking but did not notice, until I looked from the outside.

@GardenGerty I cannot believe how they can arrive to go through very tiny spaces.

I hope you find out what route the escapees are using, I am lucky in my little apartment there is no way the kittens can get out but by the front door. That is good because with how scared they are of loud noise and unexpected things they would be pancakes on the big road that goes by our house,

It seems you've worked out what's happening. Pets can be very sneaky sometimes.
