Facing The Doctors.

Well, some things can't or shouldn't be put off. Later this week l will be engaging in one of my least desirable activities - a visit to the doctor. Actually it will be the second of my biannual checkups, and my hope is that there will be no surprises there for me. Yesterday my elderly relative made his trip to the doctor and the results of tests are expected on Thursday. When was the last time you visited the doctor? Do you have an appointment anytime soon? Last time I visited my doctor was Aug 2021 due to some skin problems. Hope your checkup goes well.

Since 2020 l have neglected to do some checks from a fear of catching covid. Some say that it is easy to catch at medical facilities - so l stayed away.

My next visit to the doctor is the end of this week. I had visited him two months ago. It's for this reason I have to stay away from my elder son for my doctor stays in this city where we have our own house.

@Kandae11 My elder son stays in Kolkata for his job and my doctor stays in Rourkela where I am staying in my own house. They are two different cities in two different states.

I go to my primary doctor twice a year, once for an annual physical and once for bloodwork reviews. Since I have high blood pressure and had a heart attack many years ago, they want to keep an eye on me! I have my regular check-up for blood work on the 12th. I hope all goes well for you and that there are no surprises.

@Kandae11 I think my blood pressure has finally stabilized. I am on 1 medication for it, but it wasn't doing the job so she put me on a second one. I didn't want to be on it, so I started drinking beetroot tea (Twinings) and it brought it down so much that she said I could go back to just 1 medication. I drink 1 cup of beetroot tea a day and between that and the medication, it is usually normal.

I went just a few weeks ago. I also do not enjoy going to the doctor. The only thing I dislike more is going to the dentist.

I get my whole body checked once a year and check my blood sugar level on alternate days and whenever I see something wrong with it, I see a doctor.

I visited my family doctor in January and did some exams, it seems everything is well but I still need to go to the gynecologist and that is the appointment I I hate.

Just saw my doctor in June for checkup and blood work. Like you, I don't enjoy going, but to remain healthy and make lifestyle changes if needed, doctor visits are necessary. To ignore visits might prove ultimately to be harmful to your health.

I visited my general doctor last February and I just needed more Vitamin D3 + K2 and Vitamin C. So far, the overall result was good.
