I went to my ophthalmologist appointment yesterday. Dialated my eyes this time. My doctor said, no diabetes in my eyes!
Just a day earlier, United Healthcare, customer service told me, covid patients from hospital to home, now have transportation! I slept well Wednesday night! Today, my eye doctor gave me this great news if no diabetes in my eyes and she'll be letting my primary doctor know.
Hooray! I'm having a very good week! Hope your week was just as good or better!!

Congratulations! I have been better with the knee pain meds. But I have to go to therapy and that will really help me more, I suppose.

I've never heard of having diabetes in the eyes before. I know if as person has diabetes they can be more prone to glaucoma. Maybe that's what you're eye doctor meant that you don't have the beginnings of glaucoma .

No, you see diabetes, shows up in eyes. When ophthalmologist can't find it, it's very good! Si good, my ophthalmologist relayed it to my primary doctor.

Good for you. Five years ago I was diagnosed with hypertensive retinopathy and he can foresee a diabetic retinopathy. He scheduled me for 8 weeks laser treatment to remove them. Now I have healthy eyes and I regularly take an eye checkup until now every 6 months to be sure. We love our eyes, they are so precious!

@oahuwriter just follow instructions by the doctor like not looking directly at sunlight and lightings in the house. Avoiding eyes in the shower. Simple things to avoid.

Yes, eyes so important! That's good, you're rid of them both! Did surgery hurt much? How was post surgery?

It's my eye check time. Because of age, and, diabetes & AMD, I go every 3 months. My AMD, has stopped, and regressing a little. Taking AREDS 2 for it and supplements like Bilberry, lutein and over 50 eye vitamin. My ophthalmologist is very happy with me! I eat as told to, more colorful veggies.

Thanks, I sure needed it! Only bus, si family worry, but also covid isn't helping. So when my customer service said we've now new benefits of covid patients' hospital to home, I became ultra relieved.

@oahuwriter My son and Leo had diabetes and wore glasses before they had diabetes . Although they both passed away they were never told diabetes could effect their eyes . At least they didn’t have that to suffer with.
