The shouting guy has a bicycle.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, there is a mentally ill guy who lives in a red tent about 25 yards from my front door on the Iron Horse Bicycle Trail. He shouts all day, and often well into the night. It appears that the police and his social workers are unable to do anything about his antics. I have "threatened" to visit him to learn more closely what he is shouting about. The other day, I heard him shouting, noticed some "Doppler effect," and realized that he was cycling by as he shouted. I wondered where he got the bicycle. Right now (3 PM) I hear him shouting, but he is a few hundreds of yards away, so I can't hear his words. I may go to the pool, but if I cycle instead, I may engage him. I want to know more.

@RubyHawk I like having it. But I don't think I could use it on a human.

@TheHorse I don’t think I could unless someone was harming my family.

@RubyHawk It's odd, but I HAVE thought about what I would do if some psychopath started shooting up the Indian families that live around me. I know where my .22 is and I know where my ammo is.

I wonder if he has Terret Syndrome or some form of it. If a social worker sees him why haven't they done more? I also wonder if a muzzle could be utilized. Not funny, I know.

There is a guy that rides his bike around all day long in a town south of here. It is a big railroad town, and they have a rail cam on all the time. He is always showing up on it.

@TheHorse I don't think so. He's quiet as far as I know. He does wear some strange get ups though.

@snowy22315 Would there be a reason to "round him up"?

@TheHorse That's what I would have chosen, too. We did get some rain yesterday and today so we weren't over 100F. It was nice out today.

Now I am not making fun of this poor sick man who cannot help himself but perhaps you can help him have his voice hear, Take a listen to what he is shouting and write a song about it,

@TheHorse best of luck to you. If you think about all the songs done about real happenings there just might be a hit in the making, and he gets his voice heard.

If he has a sense of humor (which I think he does) I wouldn't mind talking to him. I am a "trained" listener. I think I could handle it.

Just be careful. I didn't realize that he lived in a tent. I thought he lived in your complex.

Interesting that no one can get him help. I guess that is because he is not dangerous to himself or others. You have a curious and helping personality.

I assume they've ascertained that he's not a danger to self or others. But he could cause quite a few to suffer from lack of sleep!

It woud be interesting I am a goodlistener, and a sucker for a good sense of humor. I am not convinced that I could not help him somehow. He is a fellow human being.

It's so sad for some of these people although maybe they don't think they're anything but okay.

I am good at blending into the background. Do you know this song? It's how I feel sometimes. I am just an illusion.

Playing detective role to satisfy your curiosity. Probably that kind of mannerism or antics as you called it has something to do with his way of living.

Try first to listen what he is shouting about, may be he needs help, he is angry for something happening and he has no one ready to listen to him.

Why can't someone in the community nearby take the responsibility to treat him? He needs help to lead a normal life.

Make friends with him, maybe he is stressed. There are a lot of stressed out people nowadays. Not everybody have 0 problem in life.
