What Kind Of A Sleeper Are You?

@Kandae11 (53679)

Tidy, untidy or inbetween ? Do you wake up in the morning and find your cover on the floor, along with a pillow perhaps? Do you toss and turn and change positions all night? I can remain in one position all night, if necessary. If you sleep alone, what else is on your bed, is it cluttered with stuff? I sleep with a teddybear, my phone ,sometimes a laptop, notebook and pen. Are you a light or deep sleeper? Some persons can sleep through heavy outside noises. I awaken at the drop of a pin. And finally, What can prevent you from having a good night's rest? Pixabay image.

I sleep alone. My wife is a restless sleeper and snores loudly. I most often don't move an inch. I wake in the same position as when I went to bed. I have nothing on the bed with me except covers and Blue. Blue finds his spot and at some point, he hops down because he gets overheated or hears a noise. There are times when he licks my face to wake me to take him outside. I keep pen and a notebook on the nightstand in case I want to jot down dreams or a late night epiphany. On a normal night, I am asleep 5 minutes after laying down. Pisses my wife off too. She has trouble sleeping more often than not. Her disability keeps her in bed most of the day. I wake up easily too. It's why I choose to sleep away from the chainsaw noise my wife practices all night lol. If I don't feel well or have stresses weighing me down, I'll have trouble getting to or staying asleep. Sometimes if I'm having trouble, I'll just get up. I would say I'm a tidy sleeper, wake easily and actually like sleeping alone

@Kandae11 Yes. She will sleep off and on all day. I wake her for lunch and dinner most days. I try to get her to exercise or stretch but sometimes her only exercise is the body rubs she gets several times a week. It's not ideal but it is better than nothing. I will sometimes wake and write down a dream or an idea. A notebook is important to me. I actually have a teddy bear too. I don't sleep with it but my wife bought it for me a million years ago. My name is Terry and she called me Ter Bear back in the day. Gosh. I have had that teddy bear for 35 years. I might just drag it back out now.

That describes me perfectly - l like sleeping alone, mostly l remain in one position and awaken easily. Most times my ideas for posts come in the early morning hours, so my notepad and pen is always there with me. I don't know if l snore , my teddybear can't tell me, but l always had the belief that snoring was a man's thing then l realized that lots of women do snore. When l can't sleep l read for awhile or watch a relaxing movie, but l would never head to the kitchen like some people do. After my 5 or 6 pm meal, the next time l eat would be at breakfast. I am sorry your has trouble sleeping. That will happen when you are in bed most of the day, you will doze off from time to time- then at night you won't be tired enough to fall asleep.

I turn from left to right and vice versa, but the bed is perfect when I get up in the morning, it seems that no one was sleeping there. The side of my husband is a mess.

I am generally a light sleeper and tend to move around alot at night. I have to say sometimes I sleep more soundly than I think, because I mentioned the one night my cat was on top of me when I woke up, and I had no memory of him even climbing up there.,

I am a light sleeper. Very light. I only sleep around 5 hours at most. I do hear everything and even things that are not. Nothing is in my bed, it must not be cluttered oh no. I have a lovely cotton, all cotton sheet and Laura Ashley summer spread with roses on it. And the sham to match. My mattress was made here in the USA in Arizona and the top layer is aloe..so soft. And it was cheap on Amazon. The base is an ordinary steel base cheap enough. I would love to have an old fashioned four poster bed like we had at home. I do toss and turn but I must have a pillow or sheet on my head part way to comfort me.

I think l would love the Laura Ashley summer spread with roses. Mine is beige with pale pink flowers and pale green leaves. I am a light sleeper too and l can't wait to get out of bed in the morning and start my day. I never sleep later than 5 or 6 am.

I hardly move when I'm asleep. My first wife used to steal all the covers during the night and tell me I must be shoving them to her side of the bed in my sleep. I started putting safety pins through the top sheet and pinning it to the mattress on my side of the bed. She'd keep yanking the sheet until it tore and then get mad at me for tearing them. Two laptops, two tablets and my smartphone are on one side of my queen sized bed and I'm on the other side. Almost any noise will wake me up if I'm in my bed but if I fall asleep in a public place, I either set an alarm to wake me or someone saying my first name will wake me up. (While I worked at Walmart, I'd sleep in the break room. As long as nobody said my name, I'd sleep until my alarm went off for me to go back to work.)

@Kandae11 She really disliked it when someone proved her wrong in any detail. There's a reason I got a divorce from her. Yes, two laptops. I have a third one that's on a stand beside the bed. I normally only use two of them. The third is "just in case". Pretty says I've trained myself to fall asleep when I get bored. She may be correct. I fall asleep in doctor's offices, waiting at Walmart or sitting on our front porch if she's taking too long getting ready to leave.

Wow! Your first wife did not have a pleasant personality at all. Imagine having to go to such lengths to keep your sheets. Two laptops? Good for you that your bed is queensize. I fell asleep on a bus once when l was traveling to another parish. That happened because l was up most of the night completing an order l had for the tourist shops.

I change positions frequently during the night but I don't find my covers disturbed much when i get up in the morning. I'm a fairly light sleeper so I have a fan on to lessen any noise I might hear from outside. I miss the days when I would sleep soundly

@Marilynda1225 Even though oats is a popular breakfast cereal, you can have it at night too - in addition to a light dinner, or add banana and raisins and make it your dinner. It works for me. You see oats apart from having magnesium and potassium , it has the animo acid called Tryptophan - a natural sedative which causes a mellow sleepy feeling.
@Kandae11 (53679)

Yes the fan does lessen outside noises. I find that l sleep soundly when l have Quaker oats for my last meal and if l fall asleep around 10.30 or 11pm - then l would sleep straight through to 5 am.

I do a lot of changing positions in bed mostly due to having chronic past injuries most recently my shoulder. So, sleeping on it (even though it's my favorite side to sleep) causes it to hurt after a time. I use a fan when I sleep. I find the droning noise allows me to fall asleep faster. No items in bed just 2 pillows. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper once asleep. Usually, stress related worries will keep me from getting a restful sleep.

I’m a deep and untidy sleeper. I also snore hahahah. So my poor husband I do feel for him. We do have a second bedroom but he refuses to use it. I have always been like this since I was a child. My covers most of the time are in the floor and my sheets are gone.

I'd say I'm a tidy sleeper - even if I toss and turn, I don't flop around to the point that I'm tossing the bedding. Hubby is there but is less tidy . I am mostly a light sleeper tough I can get knocked out . . . my problem is I wake up every 2-3 hours so I must not be getting good deep sleep.

@Kandae11 The 2-3 hour thing is every night for me . Oh what I would do to sleep through the night . . . that has not happened in years!
@Kandae11 (53679)
10 Aug 22
That happens to me when l go to bed early. I will wake up ever two or three hours - l am a light sleeper anyway. However when l fall asleep late, maybe after watching a movie or doing some research l usually sleep straight through the night.

I sleep in the same bed as my husband. I had sleeping a lone even as a kid. We are both side sleepers. He is more of a cuddled and I’m more of let me cuddle with the blanket or pillow that smells like you. The blankets you know how they will be: typically they are still on the bed either k have them all or he has rolled them somewhat under his body and I start getting cold and have to turf a 230lbs male off of the sheets.
