Meals - 8/20/22

Yesterday (8/20) was my husband's birthday. We had planned on getting pizza and Chinese (he wanted both); but we are doing that today. Our housekeeper (Hubby's second cousin) is planning on going with us to Red Lobster when hubby's Godson/cousin visits on Tuesday. They don't know it; but we plan on treating them to lunch/dinner. It's our housekeeper's birthday on Wednesday; so all the more reason for a treat.
Breakfast - None
Lunch - Protein bars
Dessert/Snack - Birthday cake and decaf coffee
Dinner - Lima beans and mixed veggies left over from a Meals on Wheels lunc

I don't much care for fish; but I love shellfish. They do have other options like chicken and steak.

pizza and Chinese sounds fun - my meals are rarely so exotic - fishfinger sandwiches, beans and rice and apple pie / custard were my intake yesterday

@LindaOHio mostly pretty basic - my cooking amounts to how long something takes to microwave or eat straight from the packet / tin etc

That's an unusual combination. Yes, our bill will probably be close to $200 if everyone eats well.

@porwest We rarely ever go out to eat with anyone. It's just the two of us except when hubs' Godson comes up from TN. So we are glad to foot the bill. His Godson/cousin picked up the tab last year for hubs' 80th.

@LindaOHio I remember last year we went to Gibson's in Appalachicola, FL when we were vacationing with the fam in Cape San Blas and I told everyone we'd flip the bill. It was a large group and so I budgeted about $500, and felt a bit uncomfortable when my brother in law got market rate clams and such. It worked out though and with tip came just under $500. I thought for sure it was going to be much higher though. lol
This past one I kept my mouth shut, but I did pay for my nephew's fishing which ran me a little over $500. lol But that did include my wife and I as well.

I certainly hope you do have a good time for today and the upcoming wednesday.I had Singaporean rice vermicelli for lunch and chicken burger with fries for dinner yesterday.
