Back View to The Rose Garden

Was sitting out on the garden bench earlier before the rains came. The hummingbirds didn't seem to mind at all. Zooming past me as if I wasn't even there. I will take some nectar with me next time and see what happens. They have drank from my hand before. Only had my iPhone camera at the time. Next time I will take my bigger camera. The hummingbirds are much easier to see when I can zoom in on their little faces. They are so entertaining. Flying back and forth from the deck feeder to the garden feeder and then hiding in the roses. This view is different. You can see the screen room I am always talking about. It is there on the left. And the deck to the right. You can see how close the garden is to the deck. Only a few steps. As much as I enjoy cooler weather, I will miss the garden when fall and winter arrive. I am trying to enjoy the moments while they are here. I hope you are enjoying the moments in your life. Photo is mine. From Dustin's garden bench.

So lovely there what a slice of heaven Carol. I saw a post on Nextdoor today with someone had a pic of a hummingbird moth they had captured. I had never seen one before and apparently they are rare. Did you ever see one?

You have a beautiful place, no wonder you like to sit in the sunroom and visit your garden and check out the birds.

@marlina Yes I get bundled up and enjoy coffee in the mornings out there. I feed the birds peanuts in the deck feeder and watch them almost every day.

Its a lovely and unobstructed view of the garden. Got sad news today, but am trying to think of the silver lining. My hub's eldest brother is now palliative, he no longer knows anyone, isn't verbal, doesn't eat, drink nor take his pills. They said if anyone would like to say their good byes do it now. I thought about this, hard. I love that brother, like he were my own. Greatest BIL a girl could ask for. But, he has been suffering, and this is the end. I wish him a quiet peaceful end of life, and unless my hubs insists, I am not ready to go and sit beside his vessel. I have said my farewell this summer when I saw him. Its not easy to come to a place like this.

@CarolDM Thanks, I can feel your big hug. I am not cold hearted, I just feel that his wife, children and grandchildren should be bedside for his last hours or days. We all have such wonderful memories, and we should cling to those. When his daughter, Stephanie and our daughter, Brittany, come to take him by the hand, I know that he will go freely.

@Juliaacv Again, if only. And I totally agree and support your feelings. You are speaking from your broken heart. I do understand. And I believe the others will too.

Thank you very much. I am so sorry. Oh my goodness, I feel your pain so much. Sort of like when my Dad went to hospice for five days. I was there but he wasn't in the end. He had already left. That part I can understand. Big hugs to you my sweet friend.

What a great photo. Gives us all a better idea of what your house and yard look like. You got a hummingbird to eat from your hand? I am sooo jealous! Hope you are feeling better.

Thanks, I was on the bench and thought why not take a few photos. And yes I have had them drink form my hand. So very cool. You have to be extremely still of course. Also if I wear a red shirt they come very close to me.

The rose bush is beautiful as is the back of your home. It's easy to see why you spend so much time in the garden and in the screen room.

While it is still green here, you can almost feel the temperature gradually falling. Won't be long before we are all bundled up. I guess Hummingbirds go south for the winter

Both the deck and screened in porch seem like nice places to have a sit. I only have a deck, no screened in porch. As for hummingbirds, I don't see them often, but when I do they fascinate me. It would be cool to have them drink out of my hand.

That rose bush is lovely .... so is your house. I haven't heard any hummers in a long while, I'm beginning to wonder if maybe they have somewhere else to go.
