My second lie for the week. There are six baby bunnies.

There are baby rabbits at our house-sit and, until yesterday, I thought there were five. But now we’ve discovered there are six! And I have the photo to prove it. We were watching them bouncing around on the lawn and diving under a bush from time to time. And suddenly an extra came out from under the bush. We still haven’t seen any adults but if all of these have six babies, no wonder they multiply so quickly. It’s worse than my nephew’s dwarf Nigerian goats. If all the nannies have twins or triplets, which they often do, the herd doubles very quickly. We’re off to a horse ride shortly so be good until I get back.

*sigh* I was willing to overlook one mistake, but come on, Judy... do you really expect us to overlook two in the same week? Oh, they're adorable! If you could ship one of those to her, Pretty would adopt it very fast! We'll see you in a couple of days.

@JudyEv It's only human to make a mistake once in a while. We will forgive you for doing that. Please don't worry about it.

I hate getting stuff wrong. But it's much worse if it's spelling or grammar.

Bunnies are great mathematicians, they sure know how to multiply. I’ll try to be good. It’s tough.

That is nice that you see them there every day. I think they are good to look at in there. I am just wondering if there are predators that may harm them there.

@JudyEv I was thinking of an eagle or hawk to be their no. 1 predator there plus some snakes as well. For Dogs or Cat, well I think they are in lesser danger especially when they are well fed they might not bother to hunt them anymore.

They are probably quite safe there. There are no cats or dogs although there is a Labrador at the daughter's place just down the hill. An eagle or hawk could swoop on them if they were out in the open.

@rsa101 The rabbits here are so close to the house I doubt a hawk or eagle would be brave enough to take them. There could easily be snakes.

Wonder where the big bunnies are Judy? Those big stones there..think of moving those and setting them there.

Those "big stones" are a retaining wall, keeping the hill from sliding any further.

@RebeccasFarm If you say so... they look to be 2' x 1' x 1' ... at least 50lbs.

Rabbits are cute but they multiply so fast, they can quick become a major problem.

@JudyEv I remember when Australia had to kill rabbits because of the damages they were causing.

That is so, so true. We've had rabbit plagues before today and they do an incredible amount of damage.

Not a lie, just a mistake. It is hard to count them while they bounce.

You're so right. I had counted four then watched one come out from under the bush so that was five then, blow me down, another one came out!

Haha - yes, I know what you mean. All the little ducks/rabbits in a row and you have to shoot them. That's what I should be doing here.

Aww that’s adorable ! Bunnies are so interesting most people don’t know that the mom leaves the babies ALL day ! Sometimes for more then one , so people find bunnies in a pile of grass and take them or watch for a day and think the mom isn’t coming back - once touched she usually does not return ! When they are big enough to venture out of the nest the mom doesn’t care for them as much , only pops in once in a while for supervision and to throw a shoe or two ?? at the misbehaved! So cute :)

The little ones are certainly cute but rabbits are a great pest here. I should really be trying to catch them and do away with them.
