Last night I couldn't resist making that pineapple cheese casserole.
I only made half a recipe because I knew I would eat all of it.
I convinced Dale to try a bite...he hates pineapple...but he actually liked it!
Not as much as I do, though. I think I'll use pineapple tid bits next time instead of chunks so it's less pineapple-y.
Getting ready for the kids to come this weekend and can't wait. Robert and Nathan come over fairly often (they just live an hour away), but Tammy and her family live in Charleston which is about seven hours from us.
Tammy made me promise not to overdo the cooking while I'm still limping a little. We'll see.
But I really won't cook all I want to. The guys are planning to go fishing Saturday morning and we'll have a fish fry that afternoon.
Always wonderful to have our babies home.

The fish fry sounds wonderful!!! Have some fish for me. I would love to have some really fresh fish from the lake I used to live by...but with the lake being 20% of capacity I would have to go several miles to get to water that has fish in it. I might get some salmon from the store to treat myself this weekend, I'll have to see how I am getting around on my bum ankle.
Enjoy having your kids home. It's a huge treat to have them both home at the same time. Give them all hugs from me, I still haven't heard from my granddaughters or daughter in months. I know they're awfully busy and my daughter's father and stepmother did a LOT to convince her that I didn't want her or love her. So, I haven't seen her for ages. I'm still working on changing her mind about what they told her in lies about me...but it's a slow process. Anyway, on to happier things, including having your family home for a while. And also, that your injury gets better a lot faster. I am hoping to get back on my two feet soon, but the doctors think it will be towards Christmas or New Years that I might be past the pain and back walking somewhat normally. Anyway, have a great time and hug everyone for me. L & H's

I'm so sorry about your daughter and granddaughters. Hopefully the relationships will be mended soon. I know it breaks your heart. Praying your ankle will be healed, too.

Enjoy your life with your kids. I haven't tried pineapple casserole but would surely try it when we get pineapples here.

I am glad that the kids will be with you this weekend. I have never had pineapple in a casserole or on pizza. I have just had plain pineapple. Take care and do not overdo it and enjoy the fish fry.
