Bitty is in love with a zucchini

Seriously. In the midst of all of the doctor and hospital stuff, someone left a bag of tomatoes. peppers and a giant zucchini on a chair out front. I threw out what was rotten when I finally noticed it. The zuke is so big it has a hardish peel. It is sitting on the glider rocker because I do not have the energy to do what needs to be done to it. I need to cut it and grate it. I would make zucchini bread and zucchini fritters, and so on and so forth. Bitty hugs it, will curl up with it, and bites small portions of the stem off and plays with them. Only cat I have ever had do that. I have seen them fight over corn cobs, though. Silly little Bitty.

That's funny, Nico was chewing on an ear of corn still in the husk. He always enjoys corn, in particular the husks.

Sometimes cats do strange things. Mine get in the bathtub after I clean it out and roll in the bath tub. I have never had a cat do that before.

Yes, I was waiting to see if there was a response. I wonder if it is the smell of the cucumber that is frightening. My brother says that copperhead snakes have a smell like cucumber.

With those ingredients I could fo so many things, Heather. I slice all those ingredients in a pie dish seasoning it with oregano and cheese. Then I pour over it some beaten eggs and to the oven. It smells like pizza and it tastes like heaven.

It's amazing what cats like to play with sometimes. I hope you get the energy to tackle that zucchini although Bitty probably won't thank you for destroying her toy.

A friend of mine has a cat that just freaks out over corn cobs. Paces and yowls and demands to chew on the corn cob, so funny to watch!

I remember one litter of Siamese kittens that thought it was wonderful when we had the little small corn cobs. They would fight over them and drag them around.
