Fish? - Yes or No

Continuing in the same vein as yesterday's post about Sushi and Sashimi, today's topic is fish. Fish have a greater species diversity than any other group of vertebrates; and they are not documented in the deepest 25% of the ocean. I'm on the fence about fish. I can eat breaded and fried fish sticks and fish fillets with tartar sauce; but I don't have it that often; and I don't really care for strong tasting fish like salmon...If I had to eat it, I probably would, but... How about you? Do you like fish? What is your favorite kind of fish? Photo Credit: Pixabay

I like most fish but I'm always worried about finding bones in it. Luckily, if you eat fish in a restaurant you rarely find a bone.

The fish with a lot of bones here is herring. But we fry it so crispy that you just eat the bones. Dale fillets the catfish so it's boneless then.

I hate eating ground beef because there always seems to be bone chips and sinew. I only eat beef when we get it from the Meals on Wheels program...although I could go for a filet mignon!

I love eating fish, which goes without saying since I live in Florida. Haha. My favorites are of course the saltwater fishes like grouper and snapper and the likes. I’m also a big fan of salmon.

I live in FL and can't stand fish except for shrimp, crab meat and lobster. Last 2 have to be out of shells. Hahaha In all fairness I'm from the south and hate gravy, corn bread, pork n beans and colard greens. Yuck

I particularly like salmon. Yes, I also like those breaded goodies. There are dishes I like anchovies in, but not pizza. I like pickled herring and I like sardines as well. I love a good fried catfish fillet.

Yes, wouldn't you know, fried ahi. Raw or fried, yum! I like cod, fish and fries and dried fish sardines too. New years I like fish roe in seaweed, just a little, for they're expensive!

I like almost all kind of fish with a very few exception. Salmon and tuna are delicious if cooked correctly that is almost never the case in most restaurants. I am not a big fan of catfish.

@LadyDuck I have heard that to get rid of the muddy taste, they let the fish swim in fresh water for a couple of days.

@LindaOHio It doesn't taste muddy at all. I think it's either the type of catfish or where it's caught or maybe how it's cleaned.

Fish is an important meat for us. It is common for us to eat it. Usually here we will steam it or use it to make a soup. I like salmon very much but it is quite expensive and this is its disadvantage

@LindaOHio yeah shrimp does have a weird texture but it's the only fish I've ever acquired a taste for. I don't eat it very often but especially like coconut shrimp you can get at the Outback Steak House.
