I think he'll be a somewhat large kitty.

@rebelann Himi's are the Persians of the Oriental cats. He probably will be a big boy.

Yes, he really is a cutie pie. At least he's beginning to purr more now but it's only been a little under 2 days since I took him in.

@rebelann I am sure that you will have the new baby purring and feeling at home in no time.

It would be nice if that can happen but although he purrs when I hold him that doesn't last. I put him back so I could let Roscoe in and when I went back to talk to him he was hissing at me again. It's going to take time to get him to stop hissing everytime I try to talk to him.

@rebelann oh boy I hope he learns to be more domestic in time. Being so little and being adopted he may.

He strikes me as being very young and might not even be 6 weeks yet, he is constantly hiding in a dark place and is not yet curious about his surroundings.

He looks like he could be but I think he's a mix, he's feral.

I think you have your heart set on keeping Tuffy. I don't blame you, but where do you think he strayed from? His family can't be far away.

@rebelann Seems weird to have one in the middle of nowhere though...Being so young and just wandering far away seems unlikely. One time when we were kids walking home from school it was super windy out and a kitten got blown onto our road. Poor little thing, I hope it made it home. I should have brought it home, but for some reason I didn't even think of it. Probably because I was sure my mom would say no.

I keep thinking his mom left him here because I have seen a couple older cats in my elm trees but why a momma would leave her kitten here is beyond me.

Honestly I didn't 'get' him I saved him from Roscoe. How he got into my yard I don't know, the last time there was a stray cat here Mykey killed it.

I have no idea. The only reason I have him is because I didn't want Roscoe to kill him. He is still very much a baby and still has no idea how to jump up on things etc like many cats do. I know he will learn fairly soon.

@rebelann Wow, he'll have gotten double his size I guess! They grow fast ! Oh yah, put up your dukes, Roscoe . No real rain here. They had said chance of showers here and there - but nah. You still gettin' the good wet stuff?

I think he has. When I first held him he wasn't much bigger than my hand and now when I pick him up my hand doesn't even cover his whole belly anymore. It's been 12 days that he's been getting good food so maybe that's part of it, there's no telling if his mom was able to feed him that well given that she hid him here for some reason. Yeah, it's kinda weird, we've been getting rain almost every third night. The weeds here are taking advantage of it and growing like ..... well ummm WEEDS

Oh so teeny, only about 1.4 pounds at the time. He's going to see the vet again around the 21st, hopefully he'll weigh in at no less then 3 pounds I hope he'll be big enough to put Roscoe in his place, he has a score to settle. Have you gotten any rain yet?

Well, Tuffy is absolutely adorable and a good name because he is so small he has to be tough to grow up big and strong. My Sydney here was the runt of the litter, and she is still quite tiny compared to Ringo and Michelle who are growing big and strong, but she has the power to run after them and chase and everything the big cats do, Such a cute video it sounds like meal time at my place,
