October Roses Brightened My Day

The last several mornings have been nice and cool. I get out with my camera to see what is left in the garden. I noticed these roses blooming today. And more buds on the way. However with a possible frost this weekend, not sure if the buds will survive. So I brought a few blooms indoors to enjoy while I still can. The others are still in the garden. Enjoying the sunshine. There are a few butterfly bush blooms left as well. Nice warm sunshine days are keeping a few plants blooming for now. I will enjoy these little things while I can for the season. Photo is mine. Snapped with my iPhone earlier this morning.

We have been lucky so far, the nights are cooler, but not yet cold. Your rose is beautiful. No more roses in my garden.

Yes. flowers are beautiful things to enjoy. My aunt and I had also many types of roses in our backyard, which I water every morning when I was on vacation in their place. I miss them and the garden,

Oh, that is so beautiful! We still have blooms on the bell pepper plants and the tomato plants. Both are giving a bumper crop of fruit ripening right now, too.

Lovely colorful rose. I remember the last roses in my garden in Latvia. Once Martin passed I could not go out to look at them and when I had finally sold my house in the following year our neighbor came and dug out the rosed to replant in his garden.

We had some frost/a freeze last night. It is also forecasted for tonight. I went out to check and the flowers are still OK. I wish I could bring more of them inside, but there is just no place for them. Like you, I do enjoy. My Lantana are my favorite, they bloom all summer long.
