I always enjoy browsing for hacks to try out or to share. It's amazing the imagination of the people who come up with these ideas to make everyday chores in life easier. Here is one I came across to share with you... EASY WAY TO KEEP YOUR PACKING TAPE ORGANIZIED Have you ever had your scotch dispenser tape fall through the slot, and then get stuck back onto the roll? I have many times but no more! It's so frustrating trying to peel back the tape again and thread it back through the roll opening. Thankfully, my fingernails are long enough to separate the tape, although sometimes it splits in two on me and I wind up wasting some getting the pieces lined up again. Anyway, with this tip this problem is now solved. Just use this simple method I found online to stop this from happening. Slip a rubber band over the 'ears' of your packing tape dispenser to keep the tape secure. It won't stick to the rubber band. How do you keep your packing tape securely fastened on the roll? Try this one out, it just might work! Have you discovered a favorite hack you use to make chores easier? I'm all "ears"... Source- A Taste of Home Photo- Family Handyman

@dgobucks226 I use a wooden ice cream stick to stick to the duck tape. I I unroll the the piece I need, I place the ice cream stick before cutting and then I cut.

Yes, it really is annoying if the tape sticks. Sometimes I have the same problem when I use Duck tape with it twisting together or falling back and sticking to the roll before I can cut off a piece. My solution is to stretch the tape out and stick it on a table before cutting.

You welcome OT! No more having to peel the tape again off the roll again The rubber band acts as a barrier, so you don't have to peel the tape when it falls back and sticks on the roll. Definitely helps!

Never had that problem. But then again, making sure tape is stuck to the dispenser works, too.

It doesn't seem to but better the rubber band than the roll of tape. I hate trying to peel it off the roll after it sticks. The idea is the rubber band acts as a barrier, so you don't have to peel the tape when it falls back and sticks on the roll. Definitely helps!

That's a good idea. I usually just fold over a tiny bit on to itself but then of course you have to waste that bit later.

@dgobucks226 I've done that too - stuck it to the table as I go.

I've used that method myself. Especially with duct tape. But I bet the rubber band trick might work on duct tape too. Worth a try. Sometimes I have a similar problem when I use Duct tape with it twisting together or falling back and sticking to the roll before I can cut off a piece. My solution is to stretch the tape out and stick it on a table before cutting.

Never heard this before. I will take the end and roll it back to make it easier to dispense.

Just in case you do! It probably would work for a larger packing tape dispenser too if you were taping a box for shipping. You would just need a larger rubber band. Sure thing! A helpful hint for sure

It can be frustrating when taping a box for shipping. I have a similar problem when you get to the end of saran wrap. Unfortunately, a rubber band will not work there
