I´m feeling a tiny bit better. Have you had covid yet?

The covid I have is now more or less a bad flu.
I have a bad case of bronchitis and now hate all those years that I smoked. I have emphysema and that doesn´t go away. I only hope it does not get worse with time.
I am thawing a chicken breast and will make a big pot of chicken broth. Everyone says I must drink liquids in all forms. Everyone except one friend who thinks that she knows more than everyone and says that I only must drink plain water. I did not contradict her. There is no use. So I agreed and I´ll make my broth.
Many people are still having covid here and several people die of it. As statistic goes, I´m not in the best situation. I am old and have a mayor ailment. Besides that, dumb me has soked for 50 years. Several of the people of my generation (when it was "cool" to smoke) have died of lung cancer.
The chicken breast is thawing. I am waiting eagerly for it.

Chicken soup is proven to have healing properties. It's probably the best thing you can drink. I hope you get well quickly.

I had a mild case of it last year in June. The worst part of it was that I lost my sense of smell for around 6 months. Luckily my smell is back to normal now.

I haven´t had problems with my smell. I guess every case is different. For me, the worst is the bronchitis.

I thought I had it once and got tested and luckily I did not. I used to get bronchitis a lot and I do not smoke. I bought air purifiers and that has helped me sleep better throughout the night. Chicken broth sounds good for you. I am sorry you are going through that. I have heard people either got a mild case of Covid or a bad one depending on if one got the vaccinations or not. I know people that have gotten it. You have to do what is best for you and no one else. Listen to yourself as to what you should do or not do.

I have had four vaccines. And I would not be so worried if I did not live alone.

I don´t even know where I caught it. But there are some changes in the regulations and masks are not mandatory now. And even if I wear mine, if you take a Uber with a driver that has no mask in such a small space, it is quite dangerous.

@LindaOHio But as I don´t have a car now, that is the only way I can go from one place to the other.

I have never had such a big bronchitis. Not ever, not even when I smoked. But I feel better than yesterday. And I felt great after I could take a nap.

No one talks of Covid here these days andthey go about as though it never happened. That is worrying as it may just about reappear
Do take care and do what needs to be done.

@FourWalls I know what you mean. When I was diagnosed with cancer, I had 9 out of 10 extra dangerous conditions. And I have beating it until now.

@marguicha — extremely blessed. I have asthma and was overweight at the time (I still am, but not at the point that I was then), and I’m over 60. All of the things they said were extra danger for people to get hit with covid.

You are right . You should have warm liquids. If possible warm water with ginger and basil boiled in it with some honey in it. This will improve your lungs condition.

It's my hope that I have not got it. I have not been tested though neither have I taken any vaccine. I am strongly healthy and my immune system is very strong. I don't even plan of getting any vaccine.
We heard cases that some people who received the full COVID-19 vaccine had contracted the disease too

When we had it, in August, it was very mild, not even as bad as the flu. Neither of us have ever smoked, and we are glad. I hope you use lots of herbs and spices like garlic and thyme to ease your bronchitis.

I did have Covid last January, I felt poorly for two or three days, but not too bad after the first day, just not like doing anything much (most unlike me). Still I am trying not to feel complacent because many people have had it more than once and been more badly affected the second time.
I hope you will recover soon and not catch it again!

Hot or warm chicken broth is good for sick person especially has a flu. That's what I learned from my late mother. I don't know if it will work for others.
