This morning my brother texted me, saying he was up for an early VA appointment, and it was snowing. I blocked him. I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life.
Also in the “keep the customer satisfied” department (that’s a Simon and Garfunkel song) is this bonus tune, by request. I want to keep my fan (singular intentional) happy, so here’s a good song that didn’t make the list.
BONUS: I’m Into Something Good - Herman’s Hermits
And hey, Peter Noone is still out there, singing this and “I’m Henry the VIII I Am,” so kudos to him!!!
The first single in the career of Herman’s Hermits. Here’s a funny thing from Picky Wedia: The band’s name originated when someone said that Noone, the lead singer, looked like Rocky and Bullwinkle’s character Sherman.
They were one of the most successful bands in the British Invasion era, so their first single’s title was most accurate: they were into something good.
I’m Into Something Good
Written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin
Recorded by Herman’s Hermits
From Herman’s Hermits, 1964

Peter Noone is still around? He's one of the few left it seems. He does kinda look like Sherman.

That”s amazing! (The music part.
)
We beat our earliest “trace of sn*w” average by a month.

It’s supposed to be near 80 by the weekend, so I’ll accept this.

@FourWalls It will be in the 70s for us. My husband threw his hip out; so we didn't have to go out today for my hospital test.

He lip-synches real' good. He looks like a schoolboy in that video, but I guess, in '64 he was (only 16).

Those were the days. Lots of young talent then. Steve Winwood was only 16 when he fronted the Spencer Davis Group.

Ah, "Listen People" for this is a terrific tune! A Goffin & King dandy! That's one lucky in love guy there, lol. And that "Listen People" is not a bad song either. Both on my playlists
