A sweater day

Surprise, surprise! It was cold here yesterday. When I checked the weather app on my phone, it said 23°C (sorry, we use Celsius here). After several days of 35–37°C weather, that temperature drop felt like a gift from the heavens. Suddenly, everyone had an excuse to pull out their beloved sweaters from wherever they'd been hiding all year. According to the weatherman, the cooler weather was caused by an LPA (Low Pressure Area). But honestly, nobody seemed to care about the scientific explanation. I even did a little unofficial survey among my customers and asked them why they thought the weather had suddenly turned cold. Not a single person gave the correct answer. Most of them simply said they were happy it wasn't scorching hot anymore. And they were even happier that they finally got to wear their sweaters before the year ended. Well... almost everyone. Two customers weren't too thrilled because the cold weather was making their arthritis act up. It's funny how the same weather can make some people cheerful and others miserable. This photo is beautiful. We also use Celsius, I am a lot more comfortable going with this.

We had a temperature of 24º C on Tuesday afternoon and this morning it dropped to 9º C and I see the mountains around us capped with snow.

@sol_cee Only Americans (and Liberia and Cayman Island) use Fahrenheit all the other countries use Celsius. The sun is shining now and the sky blue.

About 73F? Definitely not a sweater day here. It was 16C at 6 am today and I dressed in jean shorts, a tank top and sandals to go to the doctor's office. It would need to be around 10C before I'd feel the need for jeans, a long sleeved shirt and real shoes with socks. Around 7C before I'd want a light jacket since I don't own any sweaters.

@sol_cee We deal in Celsius too although I know Fahrenheit as we changed to Celsius in my lifetime (That's how old I am!)

We might get a few frosts each winter but other wise 16C is quite a low daytime minimum for us.

@sol_cee It has been awhile but it is nice to be back. Hope you are doing well. No not today. It will be 20 here today but I work all day so I wont get to enjoy it. 20C is really unusual for us this time of year. Usually we are around 8C but I am loving this weather.

Well I think it is the same here in Manila. Although I believe ours may be a bit higher than there but we also felt colder early in the morning in our place.

I would not be wearing a sweater when it was 73F unless it was overcast and very windy, probably not even then. 73 is warm. What are those little brown cars that looksomething like jeeps? They aren't pedi cabs are they? Looking at the Shell station is like something we would have in the US.

They’re pedicabs or close cabs or tricycles, another mode of transportation here. We have Shell, Caltex and Petron here.

We are having some warm days here so no sweater needed. These warm days won't be around for very long and cold weather is right around the corner. Winter is coming
